And, on the island of Dhana Kosha, in the very center of the shimmering golden Neusing, a turquoise pool swirled. From within it, a lotus tree with a thousand spokes and four sides was born, and upon its central part, a beautiful boy, lovely to behold, about eight years old, was dwelling. On the tenth day of the month of Shingbrelbrel, he was seen (upper part, p. 188), taken down from the lotus tree and placed on the ground. Again, a lotus seat grew, and even when he was taken down again, it grew again and again, so the ministers said: 'This boy is born from the lotus!' Thus, the name became known. The king, in connection with the meaning, named him Tso Kye Dorje (Lake-Born Vajra). Then he asked five questions: 'Who is your father? Who is your mother? Where is your country? What do you eat? What kind of work do you do?' The boy said: 'My father is self-cognizant wisdom (rang rig pa'i ye shes), my mother is Dharmadhatu Wisdom Samantabhadri (dbyings rig kun tu bzang mo), my country is the Dharmadhatu (chos kyi dbyings), my food is the conceptual thought of dualistic appearance (gnyis snang gi rtog pa), and my work is to subdue the afflictions.' The king was greatly amazed and shed tears of joy, his right eye opened, and immeasurable joy arose in his heart, so he invited him to the palace. On the way, he also saw omens of seizing power and having to abandon the kingdom by skillful means, and so he went to the palace. The king prayed to the wish-fulfilling jewel, and merit and wealth increased immeasurably, and he possessed the seven precious things and other enjoyments. The empty treasuries were filled as before, and everything happened as desired, so he regarded that prince as a supreme son, and together with the retinue of consorts such as Odchangma, he enjoyed the glory of the kingdom, wielded the scepter, and established the ten virtuous laws, so he was known as King Padma. He was also called the King with Topknot. After that, the prince thought that the kingdom was the source of a hundred faults, and wanted to renounce, but the father king did not allow it (upper part, p. 189). So he thought of abandoning the kingdom by skillful means, and danced on top of the palace, and the three-pointed khatvanga in his hand fell and accidentally hit the son of Minister Kamati, killing him. When he was about to begin to receive the punishment of the royal law, the father king said: 'The lotus tree of the precious island of the lake has no father or mother.'

Now this incarnate child, because the prince made a mistake, was enthroned as king. The king killed the minister's child because of his own actions. The ministers sentenced him to death according to the law, allowing murder and exile. Now he is about to leave. The prince said: In this world, even without parents, being treated as father and mother and raised to the throne, because of karma, I killed the minister's child. Because my father's throne is too important, it is better for me to be exiled. There is no birth or death in my mind, so even if I am killed, I will not be afraid. I have no attachment to the country, so even if I am exiled, I will not be unhappy. May my father and mother be healthy. Because of karmic connections, we will meet again in the future. After saying this, it is said that he went to the cemetery. In addition, regarding the aspect of being born from the womb, it is also recorded in the catalogs of the treasure revealer Bakha Mukpo and other Phurba texts. In general, although this great master Padmasambhava was born from a lotus, he manifested birth from the womb in order to propagate the activity of Vajrakila. The reason is that those who are to be tamed by womb-birth cannot be tamed by emanation-birth. Buddhas also need to show the manner of descent, so the master also showed the manner of residing in the womb (Upper Volume, p. 190). Although it is said this way, it cannot be completely asserted that it is only womb-birth. Because the scriptures say that he was born from two lineages and possesses two wonderful castes. This is said to adapt to the appearances of those to be tamed. Regarding this, the Khenpos of Vajrakila also have some different explanations. Here, according to the "Phurba Commentary: Black Offering," it is recorded: In the western country of Oddiyana, the king was named Shakya, and the queen was named Jalandhara. On the twenty-first day of the lower waning moon of autumn in the Dragon year, on Friday, with the Revati star at its head, at the time when the sun was just rising, a prince was born. His face was wrathful, with furrowed brows and slightly bared fangs, his right hand holding a sword mudra, and his left hand holding a kila mudra. The mother, frightened, said: This does not seem like a human child, but rather like a demon. If others see him, it will be considered a great omen. Therefore, hide him in a secluded place where no one will notice. The father said: When sentient beings are born as humans, their shapes and colors appear differently. Therefore, go and invite a Brahmin diviner.
