Those who are called Humkara are said to have come to Tibet during the time of Sadnalegs. It is said that his birthplace was a remote area of India. In some historical accounts, the Nepalese Humkara is said to be a disciple of the Indian Humkara, and it seems that he is also the perfect vidyadhara. Another account states that the perfect vidyadhara Humkara is the Indian Humkara, while the Nepalese Humkara is the secret name Humkara of the Nepalese Shrila Manju, one of the three masters of Vajrakila, and it is said that he was a disciple of the Indian Humkara. According to the prophecy of the Root Tantra of the Gathering of the Eight Vidyadharas of Labkyab, the island of Singha in eastern India, which is closely related to Zahor, is confirmed to be the place. The text says, "In the land of Sinhala, the one known as 'Hum' appears, especially showing the practice of the mind." This also agrees. Therefore, just as it is believed here that India and Nepal are different, history also records them separately. The Nepalese Humkara was born in Nepal and was called Goleb because of poverty. Later, he went to India and became the king's shepherd. When he went to graze in the depths of the forest, he met the master Kukkuraja, who was meditating. He prostrated and circumambulated with great devotion and offered cow's milk. The master said, "Child, can you practice the Dharma?" He replied, "I can practice the Dharma, I am not lazy." The master said, "If you can do it with diligence, you can achieve it (Volume 1, page 155)." Then he bestowed the meditation and recitation of Ekavira Vajrasattva. While grazing there, he meditated and attained Vajrasattva. Once, when he was meditating on a rock, the king saw Vajrasattva sitting brilliantly above him. When the king approached, all the livestock gathered there. The king saw Vajrasattva driving the livestock over. As he approached the palace, he became as clear as a god. When he reached the gate, he looked like a shepherd again, and the king was puzzled. The king changed his underwear and followed him like a shepherd, and the child turned into Vajrasattva again. Later, the king invited the shepherd to the clean room. The king said, "Please forgive my previous ignorance and be my object of offering." The shepherd said, "I have no great qualities, it is not possible." The king told the previous story, he said, "I was born"

There was no way to subdue the king with this person. He said, 'We will meet in the Pure Land of Bliss in the next life.' There, the king said, 'I will prepare the implements and enter into practice.' Then, the child went to the teacher Kukkuraja and requested the actual method of practice. The teacher said, 'Because you still have unfinished business, the deity has manifested. It is not yet time for me to subdue you, so go to the city of Utaya, where there is a teacher named Durkharoda, go there.' The child searched in that city and heard that the teacher had passed away and been taken to the cemetery. He returned and told Kukkuraja, who gave him the instructions for practicing the raising of the dead, which would be accomplished in twenty-one days. The teacher arose and attained the siddhi of ease in raising the dead. This is what is said in (Volume 1, page 156). Some Yama masters say, 'The teacher Jampal Shenyen placed the hundred thousand sections of the Manjushri Tantra there, opened the mandala of the assembly of Matrika and practiced, and Vimala Yeshe Sempa actually entered and arose, which is known as the siddhi of ease in raising the dead.' In any case, he constructed the mandala of sixty-eight branches and brought it to maturity. The flower of the mandala fell on Humkara, so his secret name was known as Vajra Humkara. When all the teachings were completed, the teacher said, 'As a support for the siddhi, find a mudra girl with auspicious marks and go to practice in the grove of Beydrag Jakhung.' There, Humkara went to the city of the low caste and searched, finding an old couple with a daughter with auspicious marks. He said, 'Give me this girl, she will make my practice easy.' They said, 'We will not give you our daughter.' They were unwilling to give her. He paid a ransom and asked the king of the country to decide. The king said, 'You need a ransom equal to gold.' He returned and told the story to the teacher of raising the dead, who turned a corpse into gold, which was accomplished in one year. Then, he exchanged the gold for the girl, and both went to see the teacher Kukkuraja and finalized the teachings. He also consulted the great chariot of yoga, Sangye Sangwa, and dispelled doubts. Similarly, he also requested the oral transmissions and instructions for authentic practice from the teacher Sokyadeva. He practiced in the grove of Beydrag Jakhung (Volume 1, page 157) and directly saw the face of the Great Glorious One, and gained control over life.
