That is, what is seen by eye consciousness is the appearance of form to eye consciousness itself, which is known as the form aggregate. However, for the appearance of the image, they believe that there are hidden factors such as the giver of form. Neither of these wants to classify (it) as Mahayana, saying that the Hinayana is the difference in the actions of people, that there is no difference in the scriptures, and they do not accept the Mahayana. For the Shravakas, there are also the five paths of their own ground, and the four noble fruits: Stream-enterer, Once-returner, Non-returner, and Arhat. Each of these is divided into two types, entering and abiding, so there are eight types of people. In this way, those Shravakas, by meditating on the four aspects of the Four Noble Truths, such as impermanence, realize the selflessness of the person, and through habituation to it, they want to manifest the fruit of Arhat by destroying the seeds and habitual tendencies of the afflictions with the Vajra-like Samadhi. These are also stated in the Self-Commentary: The Shravaka Vehicle (Vol. 1, p. 103) is like this: The gate of entry is the Four Noble Truths, which is the common gate of entry for the Shravakas. They believe that there are two types of differences: Vaibhashikas and Sautrantikas. The view of the Vaibhashikas is: etc., as explained in detail. Second, is the Pratyekabuddha: Because they only care about themselves, they believe that the method of manifesting enlightenment in the last life without relying on a Bodhi master is to realize half and two-thirds of selflessness. That is to say, the Pratyekabuddhas add the twelve links of dependent origination to the Four Noble Truths and meditate on them. Their view is that although they believe that the self of the person and the external objects that are grasped are all dust particles, the consciousness that grasps the false appearance of objects is momentary grasping and has not been abandoned. As it says in the Ornament for Clear Realization: In order to abandon the meaning of what is grasped, and in order not to abandon the grasper, the path like the horn of a rhinoceros should be correctly gathered. Here, there are also two types: those who live alone like a rhinoceros horn and those who fly in groups like parrots. The former believes that by meditating on the twelve links of dependent origination in the order of arising, one can abandon all the subtle aspects of the three realms. The latter meditates on the twelve links of dependent origination in reverse order, then goes to the charnel ground and observes where this corpse came from, saying that it came from death, and observes all the way to ignorance. They believe that they realize half and two-thirds of selflessness.

Furthermore, regarding the conduct of the Sangha, there are also those who consider it to be divided into two types, large and small. And the Pratyekabuddhas, through practicing such non-self or the five paths, can realize the exhaustion and non-arising of Bodhi. In the periods when Buddhas do not appear in the world (upper volume, p. 104), Pratyekabuddhas will arise, and they do not teach the Dharma from their mouths, but teach the Dharma through bodily gestures, and by displaying miracles, they generate faith in others and subsequently guide them. These are also from the 'Self-Commentary': 'Ah! Listen, Lord of Secrets, the Sutra Vehicle of the Pratyekabuddhas, the entrance is the twelve links of dependent origination, the view of realization is the non-self of persons, believing that the Dharma has half a self, the precepts to be protected are the two hundred and fifty precepts, the order of meditation is to meditate on the non-conceptual nature of reality.' From this passage to 'Because there is no hearing and learning, therefore it is taught as the Pratyekabuddha Vehicle.' So it is said. Third, the Bodhisattva Vehicle is the form of wanting to attain perfect Bodhi for the benefit of others by uniting skillful means, great compassion, and wisdom of emptiness. Generating the mind is for the benefit of others, wanting to attain perfect Bodhi. It is said that relying on any skillful means to lead all sentient beings to the city of liberation, therefore it is called the Great Vehicle. As the venerable Vimalamitra said: 'The aim is great, and so is the practice, wisdom, diligence, effort, skillful means, true accomplishment is great, the Buddha's activity is great, because it possesses these great qualities, it is certainly called the Great Vehicle.' Just like that. However, even the Shravakas, because they realize the suchness of things, transcend samsara, and each realizes the Nirvana without remainder, therefore it is difficult to distinguish the Great and Small Vehicles by relying solely on views, so it is mainly distinguished by the skillful means of practice and so on. As it is said in the 'Garland of Jewels': 'In the Shravaka Vehicle, the Bodhisattva's aspirations and practices of dedication are not taught, so how can one become a Bodhisattva?' It is said like this, extensively explaining the distinctions between the Great and Small Vehicles. That is to say, because the Dharmadhatu is non-dual, there is mainly no distinction of Vehicles, but your three Vehicles.
