Words also lack inherent existence; they cannot negate inherent existence. To what has been said, let us explain: If my words are not from causes and conditions, nor from aggregates, nor separate, then all phenomena are established as empty, because of the lack of inherent existence. If my words are not associated with the great elements, nor with those that are equal, nor with those that are unequal; not from causes, not from the efforts of the chest, throat, tongue, teeth, palate, nose, crown, etc.; nor from the combination of the two, nor from the combination of causes and conditions; nor separate from the combination of causes and conditions. Therefore, they are without inherent existence, and because of the lack of inherent existence, they are empty. If so, then my words are established as empty, because of the lack of inherent existence. Just as my words are empty because of the lack of inherent existence, so too all phenomena are empty because of the lack of inherent existence. Therefore, your statement that it is unreasonable to say that all phenomena are empty because words are empty is not valid. Furthermore, Whatever arises dependently, That is called emptiness; Whatever arises dependently, Is said to be without inherent existence. You, regarding the meaning of the emptiness of phenomena, because your words lack inherent existence, it is unreasonable to refute the inherent existence of phenomena, thus speaking as if finding fault. Here, whatever phenomena arise dependently, that is emptiness. Why? Because of the lack of inherent existence. Those phenomena that arise dependently are not with inherent existence, because of the lack of inherent existence. Why? Because they are dependent on causes and conditions. If phenomena existed by their own nature, they would exist even without causes and conditions, but that is not the case, therefore they are without inherent existence, therefore they are empty. This is reasonable. Likewise, my words also arise dependently, therefore they are without inherent existence. Because of the lack of inherent existence, they are empty, this is reasonable. Just as pots, cloths, etc., are empty of inherent existence because they arise dependently, like holding honey, water, and milk porridge. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Furthermore, just as rain, warmth, wind, and sunlight can protect things, my words, because they arise dependently, although without inherent existence, can powerfully prove that all phenomena are without inherent existence. Therefore, your assertion that my words themselves are emptiness, and thus cannot refute the inherent existence of all things, is unreasonable. Moreover, just as an emanation can obstruct an emanation, and an illusion created by a magician can obstruct another illusion, this very refutation is also illusory. Just as an emanation obstructs another emanation from appearing for some purpose, or an illusory person created by a magician obstructs another illusory person from appearing for some purpose, the emanation being obstructed and the obstructer are both empty. Similarly, the illusory person created by a magician and the obstructer are both empty. Therefore, my words of emptiness can refute the inherent existence of all things, making all things empty. So, your assertion that my words themselves are emptiness, and thus cannot refute the inherent existence of all things, is unreasonable. Your statement of six fallacies is also refuted by your own argument. If that were the case, my words would not be included in all things, and would be neither empty nor non-empty, and all things would not be non-empty. Furthermore, you say: 'If your words have inherent existence, then your previous commitment is invalidated. If there is a difference, please explain the reason.' To this, I must explain: my words do not have inherent existence, therefore my previous commitment is not invalidated, and there is no difference, so there is no need to explain the reason. In short, my words are dependently arisen and empty, therefore they do not have inherent existence. As stated before, because they do not have inherent existence, they are empty. Because my words are empty, and other things are also empty, there is no difference. If I were to say that my words are not empty, but all other things are empty, then this would lead to a difference. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
