Tranquility, complete purity, a kind heart, fearlessness, faith, a sense of shame, modesty, non-deception, near to peace, not rash, prudence, loving-kindness, individual examination, conviction, complete freedom from suffering, no arrogance, no greed, no hatred, no ignorance, complete knowledge of everything, non-abandonment, wealth, shame, non-concealment, compassion, non-abandonment of mind, love, no despondency, detachment from joy, supernatural power, non-resentment, no jealousy, a mind completely free from malice, Patience, complete abandonment, not cowardice, in accordance with complete enjoyment, merit, entering into mindfulness, true renunciation, complete ignorance of everything, unconditioned Dharma. Thus, for virtuous dharmas, there are one hundred and nineteen kinds of virtuous nature; similarly, for non-virtuous dharmas, there is a non-virtuous nature; for obscured and unstated dharmas, there is an obscured and unstated nature; for unobscured and unstated dharmas, there is an unobscured and unstated nature; for dharmas that are desirable to be spoken of, there is a nature of being desirable to be spoken of; for form dharmas, there is a nature of form; for formless dharmas, there is a nature of formlessness; For undefiled dharmas, there is an undefiled nature; for suffering, origin, cessation, and path, there is a nature of suffering, origin, cessation, and path; for dharmas to be abandoned through meditation, there is a nature of being abandoned through meditation; for dharmas that are not to be abandoned, there is a nature of not being abandoned. Therefore, Thus, because seeing the nature of various dharmas, all things are without self-nature, and because they are without self-nature, they are empty—to say this is not feasible! Furthermore, The nature of dharmas such as renunciation, those states that are spoken of, the nature of the dharmas of renunciation, and the principle of non-renunciation are also the same. Here, for the state of the Dharma of renunciation that is spoken of, there is the nature of renunciation; for the Dharma of non-renunciation, there is the nature of non-renunciation. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Those who possess the limbs of enlightenment possess the limbs of enlightenment, and those who do not possess the limbs of enlightenment do not possess the limbs of enlightenment. Those who possess the aspects of enlightenment possess the aspects of enlightenment, and those who do not possess the aspects of enlightenment do not possess the aspects of enlightenment; and so forth for the rest. Therefore, since the nature of things is seen in many ways, all things are without inherent existence. Therefore, it is not right to say that they are empty. Furthermore, if things have no inherent existence, the name 'no inherent existence' and the name itself will likewise not exist. Because there is no basis, there is no name. If all things have no inherent existence, then the name 'no inherent existence' will also not exist. Why? Because there is no name without a basis. Therefore, because it is impossible, things do have inherent existence. Because there is inherent existence, all things are not empty. Therefore, it is not reasonable to say that all things have no inherent existence, and because they have no inherent existence, they are empty. Or, if inherent existence exists, but it is not in things, then it should be shown to which thing it belongs. If one thinks that a name without a basis is unreasonable, so inherent existence exists, but it is not possible in all things. Therefore, things become empty because they have no inherent existence, and the name is not without a basis, then it should be said here that if that is the case, then it is appropriate to show to which thing that inherent existence belongs. Since it is not shown, therefore the thought that inherent existence exists, but it is not in things, is mistaken. Furthermore, for example, when it is said, 'There is no vase in the room,' this negates what exists. Therefore, what you negate is the inherent existence of what exists. This is a negation of what exists, not of what does not exist. For example, saying 'There is no vase in the room' is a negation of what exists, not of what does not exist. Similarly, saying that things have no inherent existence is also a negation of the inherent existence of what exists, not of what does not exist. Therefore, it is not right to say that all things have no inherent existence.
