If self-nature emits sound, the sound can eliminate sound. Similarly, if one thinks that using the words of emptiness, 'all things are empty,' one can eliminate the self-nature of all things, then I say here, this is also unreasonable. Because here there is sound, so it can prevent the generation of sound. But here, your words of 'existence' do not prevent the self-nature of all things, because according to your view, language and the self-nature of all things do not exist, so it is like saying 'do not make a sound,' which is an inconsistent statement. If one thinks that the negation of negation is also like that, that is not good either, because then you will violate your vows, and we do not have the fault of self-contradiction. If you think that the negation of negation is also unreasonable in this way, because the language you use to negate the self-nature of all things is also unreasonable, To this, I must say, that is also not good. Why? Because you obtain this conclusion because you have the self-nature of vows, but we do not, so the negation of negation is also unreasonable, saying so is not feasible. Furthermore, if one temporarily observes all phenomena with direct perception, but cannot negate them, then what is used to observe all phenomena? That direct perception does not exist. If you think that you can observe all phenomena with direct perception, and then say that all phenomena are empty, that is unreasonable. Because direct perception is also included in all phenomena, so it is emptiness. And that which observes all phenomena is also emptiness. Therefore, direct perception cannot observe. Negating non-observation is also unreasonable, so saying that all phenomena are empty is unreasonable. Or, if you think that you can measure with inference, scripture, and analogy, thereby negating all phenomena, To this, I must say, what do inference, scripture, and analogy measure? What do inference and scripture prove? What does analogy prove? Direct perception has already answered. Inference, analogy, and scripture have all been answered by direct perception, because direct perception is empty. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

because all things are emptiness. Similarly, inference, analogy, and scripture are also emptiness, because all things are emptiness. The meaning to be proven by inference, that which is to be proven by scripture, and that which is to be proven by analogy, these are also not non-empty, because all things are emptiness. That which is cognized by inference, scripture, and analogy is also emptiness, therefore things have no object of cognition. Because it is unreasonable to negate the nature of non-cognition, it is not right to say that all things are emptiness. Furthermore: The wise are skilled in the realm of Dharma, regarding all virtuous Dharmas, they consider them to be of virtuous nature, and also the remaining ones. Here, those who are skilled in the realm of Dharma have a hundred and nineteen thoughts on virtuous Dharmas, namely: consciousness, feeling, perception, formation, contact, attention, desire, conviction, diligence, mindfulness, samadhi, wisdom, equanimity, combination, correct combination, attainment, superior intention, non-anger, joy, effort, action, non-ignorance, pleasure, non-harm, independence, anger, non-attention, grasping, non-grasping, recollection, steadfastness, increased attachment, delusion entanglement, displeasure, seeking, aspiration, pride, non-possession of an object, non-determination, birth, abiding, impermanence, aging, combination, extreme distress, displeasure, discrimination, suffering, pleasure, desire, disharmony, grasping at harmony, following grasping at disharmony, fearlessness, shame, attention, faith, lack of faith, acting according to instruction, respect, disrespect, agitation, extreme gentleness, speech, movement, accomplishment, displeasure, extreme non-gentleness, purification, steadfast abiding, timidity, attention, sorrow, affliction, pride, grasping at disharmony, doubt, suffering. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
