Supreme state of being, Self-arisen Kalavinka's, Tone and Brahma's melody, Beautiful eyes like a shepherd of blue lotus clusters, Beautiful face, possessing the stainless white hair between the eyebrows, Adorned with a crown, the head is full and smooth, Skin like gold, the supreme of beings, Fine and soft hair, each from, The body upwards, coiling to the right, Hair like stainless precious deep blue, Like the perfect circle of a Nyagrodha tree (Sanskrit: Nyagrodha, meaning banyan tree), Like Samantabhadra (Sanskrit: Samantabhadra) the unparalleled great sage, Like the strength of the desireless son (referring to the Buddha)'s firm body, The inconceivable thirty-two marks, These are the marks of the king of men spoken by the teacher. Like the moon's reflection in a cloudless sky, Like seeing in an autumn clear lake, Thus, the form of the all-pervading lord seen by the assembly of the Buddha's sons, Will be seen within the mandala of the perfect Buddha. The sixty-four qualities, These each have their causes, In order, like the precious, Sutras, one should know. Irreversible and not diminishing, Because there is no equal, because there is no wavering, Vajra, lion, pure space, The example is shown by the moon in the water. From the powers, the six powers, The three and the one in order, Equally entering the knowable, Clearly revealing all with habitual tendencies, Like armor, walls, and trees, Because they can penetrate, destroy, and cut. Because of its firmness and unwavering stability, The power of the sage is like a vajra, Why? Because its firmness is its essence, Why? Because its essence is its stability, Why? Because its stability is irreversible, Because it is irreversible, it is like a vajra. Because it is fearless and without attachment, Because it is stable and possesses abundant strength, The capable one is like a lion, like a lion, In the assembly of attendants, there is no fear. With his omniscience, in all realms, He abides in fearlessness. Because he equally sees pure beings and self, There is no partiality or attachment. The mind, in all dharmas, Is focused on one point, therefore it is stable. Because it transcends the ground of the most supreme ignorance and habitual tendencies, It possesses strength. In the world, the Hearers and Solitary Realizers, The practitioners and wise self-born ones, From higher to higher, wisdom is purified, Because it is subtle, there are five examples. For the sake of the sustenance of all the world, It is similar to earth, water, fire, and wind. Transcending the characteristics of the world and beyond the world, Like the sky. These thirty qualities, These two are revealed by the Dharmakaya, Like the radiance and, Shape of a precious jewel, there is no difference. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, what merit is satisfying to see? It is called 'thirty-two marks' (Sanskrit: dvātriṃśat), which, for those who have attained the supreme path, are the basis of the complete enjoyment body (Sanskrit: saṃbhogakāya). From a pure place, whether near or far, in the mandala of the world's victors, seeing these marks is like the images of water, sky, and moon, and has two meanings. From the 'Uttaratantra Shastra' of the Mahayana, this is the chapter on merit, the third. The following is the chapter on the activities of the Tathagata, the fourth. The realm of those to be tamed, and the means of taming, the activities of those to be tamed in the realm of those to be tamed, and going to its place and time, the all-pervading lord (referring to the Buddha) is always spontaneously accomplished. Possessing a supreme collection of precious qualities, wisdom like the ocean, merit and wisdom like sunlight, completely accomplishing all vehicles without remainder, vast and boundless like the sky. The Buddha is a treasure of immaculate qualities, viewing all sentient beings without discrimination, the net of clouds of afflictions and knowable obscurations is scattered by the wind of compassion of the Buddhas. Who is tamed by what, what is the activity, where, and when? Because the conceptual thoughts of that do not arise, the capable one (referring to the Buddha) is always spontaneously accomplished. What is the realm of those to be tamed, what are the many means of taming, what is the activity of those to be tamed, where, and when are those places and times? The teacher of definite liberation, and its fruit, its protector, and its obscuration, the condition for its cutting off, because there is no conceptual thought. Definite liberation is the ten bhumis (Sanskrit: daśa-bhūmi), the two accumulations (accumulation of merit and accumulation of wisdom) are its cause, its fruit is supreme bodhi (Sanskrit: bodhi), bodhicitta (Sanskrit: bodhicitta) is the protector of bodhisattvas. Its obscuration is endless afflictions, and near afflictions and habitual tendencies. The condition for always destroying it is great compassion. These six places should be known in order as the ocean, the sun, the treasure of the sky, the clouds, and the wind. Because it possesses the water of wisdom and precious qualities, the bhumis are like the ocean. Because it provides nourishment to all sentient beings, the two accumulations are like the sun. Because it is vast, boundless, and without a center, bodhi is like the realm of the sky. Because of the true and complete Buddha-nature, the realm of sentient beings is like a treasure. Because it is sudden, pervasive, and unestablished, its afflictions are like a collection of clouds. Because it dwells near to dispel it, incomparable compassion is like the wind. Liberation is obtained by the power of others, and viewing oneself and others as equal, and activities... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
