The Root Teachings of the Six Great Volumes Ztsa20 The Treatise on the Sublime Continuum of the Great Vehicle The Treatise on the Sublime Continuum of the Great Vehicle The Treatise on the Sublime Continuum of the Great Vehicle In Sanskrit: Mahāyāna-uttaratantra-śāstra. In Tibetan: The Treatise on the Sublime Continuum of the Great Vehicle. Homage to all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas! Buddha, Dharma, Sangha, Element, Bodhi, and Qualities, and ultimately the activity of the Buddha. These, in brief, are the body of all treatises: these seven vajra topics. These, along with their own defining characteristics, in sequence, are to be understood from the introduction in the King of Dhāraṇīs Sūtra: the basis is the lineage of the wise, Dharma, and the divisions, from Buddha to Dharma, from Dharma to the Noble Sangha, from Sangha to ultimately obtaining the essence-wisdom element, obtaining that wisdom, obtaining supreme Bodhi, and so forth, the dharmas that benefit all sentient beings. Who is that Buddha, without beginning, middle, or end, peaceful, self-enlightened? From the Buddha to those who have not realized, for the sake of realization, he shows the indestructible, eternal path. Holding the sword of wisdom and compassion, he cuts the sprouts of suffering, surrounded by various thickets of views, he destroys the walls of doubt, to him I pay homage! He is unconditioned and spontaneously accomplished, not realized through the conditions of others, endowed with knowledge, love, and power, the Buddha who possesses two benefits. Without beginning, middle, or end, because of its own nature, it is unconditioned. Peaceful, because it possesses the Dharmakāya, it is said to be spontaneously accomplished. For the sake of individual realization, it is not realized through the conditions of others. Thus, in order to realize these three, it is knowledge. In order to show the path, it is compassion. With power, wisdom, and compassion, it abandons suffering and afflictions. The first three are for one's own benefit, the latter three are for the benefit of others. What is neither non-existent, nor existent, nor both existent and non-existent, nor other than existent and non-existent? Unable to be examined, devoid of definition, individually realized, peaceful. The light of stainless wisdom, illuminating all objects, destroying attachment, hatred, and dimness, to that Dharma Sun I pay homage! Without thought, without duality, without conceptualization, pure and clear, the very antidote, who, by what, is free from attachment, that which possesses the characteristics of the two truths is the Dharma. Freedom from attachment itself is the Truth of Cessation, and included within the Truth of the Path. In sequence, these... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It should also be understood through three qualities. Because it is inconceivable, because it is inexpressible, because it is known by the noble ones, it is non-conceptual. Peace, non-duality, non-discrimination, the three purities are like the sun. Because the nature of mind is inherently luminous, one sees the absence of inherent existence in afflictions. To those who have realized that all beings are without self, are peaceful, and who follow the perfect Buddhas, possessing unobstructed wisdom, I bow to those who possess pure, boundless realms, and the eye of wisdom. In order to see the inner wisdom as it is and in its extent, Those with wisdom are the irreversible assembly, endowed with unsurpassed qualities. In order to realize the peaceful nature of beings, One also knows it as it is, because it is pure by nature, so afflictions are exhausted from the beginning. With the wisdom that realizes the ultimate object of knowledge, Seeing that the nature of omniscient knowledge exists in all beings, Therefore, it exists in its extent. Such realization is one's own self-aware wisdom. Because the stainless space is without attachment and without obstruction, it is pure. Because the eye of wisdom is pure, the wisdom of the Buddha is unsurpassed. Because they are noble ones, they are irreversible, and they are the refuge of all sentient beings. Through the teacher, the teachings, and the purpose of learning, Depending on the faith in the three vehicles and the three actions, the three refuges are established. Because they are to be abandoned, because they are of the nature of deception, Because they do not exist, because they are accompanied by fear, Therefore, the dualistic phenomena and the assembly of noble ones are not the ultimate refuge. For the sake of the ultimate meaning, the refuge of beings Is only the Buddha. Because the Muni possesses the Dharmakaya, and the Sangha is also his ultimate. Because it is rare, because it is stainless, Because it possesses power, and is the ornament of the world, Because it is supreme, because it is unchanging, it is the rare one. The defiled Suchness and the undefiled Suchness, the undefiled Buddha is the king of qualities. From which the three jewels of merit arise, is the realm of those who see the ultimate meaning. The lineage of these three jewels is the realm of all seers. It also has four aspects in order, and is inconceivable with four causes. Because it possesses purity and defilement, because it is pure without any defilement, Because it is a non-discriminating nature, because it is spontaneously accomplished and impermanent. What is to be realized and realization, is its Limb, in order to realize, As they abide in one place in order, the three causes of purity are conditions.
