Because neither I nor others, nor both, produce things, and because they do not depend on causes, things are essentially empty. Because there is a dense ignorance like a cloud, things in the world appear false. Just as a person with cataracts, due to the power of the cataracts, sees a single hair as two, and mistakes peacock feathers and bees, etc. Similarly, due to the fault of ignorance, unwise people understand compounded things with various wisdoms. If actions arise dependent on ignorance, and without ignorance they do not arise, only the unwise are certain of this. The wise, whose light of intelligence dispels the dense darkness, comprehend emptiness and are liberated. If things do not exist in themselves, then in terms of convention, they are like the son of a barren woman. Because they do not exist at all, they are essentially existent. Those who have cataracts and other diseases see false things, such as hairs, etc., because they are not produced. Therefore, one should temporarily examine these things, and then follow the ignorance of cataracts. If dreams, cities of gandharvas, mirage water, and illusory images, etc., are seen without being produced, even though they resemble existence. How can you say that they do not exist? This is unreasonable. Since this is the case, why are these things, although not produced, not like the son of a barren woman, unable to become sights seen by the world? Therefore, this statement is uncertain. The son of a barren woman does not have the nature of being born in himself, nor does he exist in the world, similarly, the essence of all these things. Itself is not produced in the world. Therefore, the Buddha declared in this way: all dharmas are peaceful from the beginning, without birth or death, and are completely nirvana in nature. Therefore, there is never birth. Just as things like pots do not exist in themselves, but are widely known in the world. Similarly, all things change, so it will not be meaningless like the son of a barren woman. Because things are not produced from causelessness, the cause of Īśvara (藏文:དབང་ཕྱུག་,梵文:Īśvara,梵文罗马拟音:Ishvara,汉语字面意思:自在天), etc., nor from me and others or both. Therefore, they arise dependently. Because things arise dependently, these concepts cannot be examined. Therefore, by relying on the reasoning of dependent origination, one can cut off all nets of wrong views. If things exist, then concepts arise, and if things do not exist, then where do concepts come from? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thus, it has been thoroughly examined and analyzed. Without entities, these phenomena would not arise, just as without firewood, there can be no fire. Ordinary beings are bound by their conceptualizations. The non-conceptual yogi becomes liberated. That which is the perversion of concepts is what the wise call the fruit of discernment. Because of attachment to analysis and debate in the scriptures, liberation is not achieved, therefore, that very truth is taught. If that very truth is explained, and it leads to the destruction of other doctrines, there is no fault. Attachment to one's own view and contention with the views of others are both conceptualizations. Therefore, by completely eliminating attachment and anger, the discerning one will quickly become liberated. All the faults of afflictions arise from the view of the aggregates. Having seen this with wisdom and realized that 'I' is the object of this, the yogi prevents the 'I'. The 'I' that is a consumer, permanent entity, non-agent, without qualities or actions, is conceived by the Tirthikas (non-Buddhists). Based on slight differences in these, the systems of the Tirthikas become different. Like the child of a barren woman, since it is devoid of birth, such an 'I' does not exist. This should not be the basis for ego-grasping, nor should it be asserted to exist even conventionally. Because scriptures differ from scriptures, whatever is taught by the Tirthikas is refuted by the reason of self-awareness being unborn. Therefore, all those differences do not exist. Therefore, there is no self other than the aggregates, because without the aggregates, grasping at it is not established. The world's ego-grasping is not accepted as the basis of mind, because it is not cognitive, and it is a view of self. Those who have wandered in samsara as animals for many kalpas have not seen this unproduced, permanent self. Even those ego-graspings have an end, therefore, there is no self other than the aggregates. Because there is no self established other than the aggregates, the object of the view of self is only the aggregates. Some assert that all five aggregates are the basis for the view of self, while others assert that only the mind is. If the aggregates are the self, then because they are many, those selves would also be many. The self would become a substance, and viewing it as such would not be a perversion since it is grasping at a substance. At the time of Nirvana, the self would necessarily cease. Before Nirvana, in each moment, there is production and destruction, and without an agent, there is no result. One person accumulates karma, and another experiences the result. If there is a continuum, there is no fault. However, during the previous analysis, the faults of the continuum have already been explained. Therefore, the aggregates and the mind are not the self. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
