After most of the remaining affairs were completed, on the sixteenth day of the Black Month of the Water Buffalo Year, prayers for the passing of Dharma Lord Namkhawa (chos rje nam mkha' ba, Dharma Lord of Space), a farewell ceremony, the making of bone ash tsatsas (gdung rus sA ts'a, small clay images from bone ash), and the completion of external monuments were all accomplished, thus fulfilling his wishes. Thereafter, although Khenchen Sangbloba (mkhan chen sangs blo ba) had previously requested the establishment of a monastic college for teaching and listening to the Dharma in Ngamring (ngam rings), it was refused. Fearing that the matter would be raised again, he stayed alone in remote valleys such as Phyiwakung (phyi ba khung) during the summer and autumn, focusing on his practice. In winter, he stayed in Rzinglung (rdzing lung). In the spring of the Buffalo Year, Khenchen Sangbloba said, 'In any case, you must establish a monastic college for teaching and listening to the Dharma, otherwise people will think I don't know how to serve you, and they will surely come to argue with me.' He explained the reasons for his unwillingness and went to Lhasa at the end of the Buffalo Year. During the Great Miracle Festival of the Tiger Year, he engaged in yogic practices of accumulation and purification, such as prostrations and circumambulations. Afterward, he went to Nyangto (nyang stod) and met with Dharma Lord Gyalchokpa (chos rje rgyal mchog pa). In the presence of twenty-three monks, including the master Gunga Pel (kun dga' dpal, Kunga Pal) and others, he received the full ordination of a bhikshu at the age of thirty-five, in the Water Male Tiger Year (chu pho stag) before the statue of Amitabha. Among them, the Khenpo (mkhan po) was Geshe Gungapel (dge bshes gangs can kun dga' dpal, Geshe Gunga Pel), who was proficient in scriptures and treatises, the Karma Acharya (las kyi slob dpon) was Don Rinpoche (don rin po che, Don Rinpoche), the secret teacher (gsang ste ston pa) was Dharma Lord Gyaltshabpa (chos rje rgyal tshab pa), and Dharma Lord Gyalchokpa (chos rje rgyal mchog pa) and others. Afterward, he acted as a patron for Dharma Lord Gyalchokpa (chos rje rgyal mchog pa) of Bodongwa (bo dong ba), and then went to Mus (mus). At the age of thirty-six, while staying in Mus in the Rabbit Year, on the night of the passing of Lama Namchopa (bla ma nam chos pa) of Shawotsal (shog bu tshal), he had a dream in which Lama Namchopa (bla ma nam chos pa) went to Sukhavati (bde ba can). And said, 'From now on, you will also go to Sukhavati in forty-two years.' That autumn, Dharma Lord Gyalchokpa (chos rje rgyal chog pa) was staying in Chudu (chu 'dus) and sent a messenger with a letter, inviting him to teach and listen to the Dharma. Although he did not go to teach and listen to the Dharma, he immediately went to explain the reasons and requested permission to go to Sakya (sa skya) to request instructions. The Dharma Lord (chos rje) was very pleased and offered to provide him with monks of good lineage and wealthy families, as well as many worldly offerings, but he was not satisfied with any of them. He remembered that he had previously said to Master Sangbloba (slob dpon sangs blo ba) in Ngamring (ngam rings), 'Even if Indra (lha'i dbang po brgya byin, Lord of the Gods, Hundred Offerings) of noble birth and Vaishravana's son (rnam thos kyi bu, Son of Vaishravana) of wealthy family appear, I will not accept them.' So he refused on this ground, and finally completed the request with difficulty. Regarding how he heard the Dharma from other gurus during those times, in short, it was from Jang Sengwa (byang seng ba)... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
