Collection of Teachings by the Omniscient Gorampa GR64: The Biography of the Venerable Great Lama Muspa - Ocean of Wonders 10-2-1a ༄༅། །The Biography of the Venerable Great Lama Muspa - Ocean of Wonders ༄། །Entering the Composition: The Essence of the Beginning The Biography of the Venerable Great Lama Muspa - Ocean of Wonders 10-2-1b ༄༅། །The Biography of the Venerable Great Lama Muspa - Ocean of Wonders. I prostrate with reverence at the feet of the glorious and holy Lama! The speech of the Victorious Ones is like an ocean, fully grasped by an ocean of wisdom; The conduct of the Sons of the Victorious Ones is like an ocean, perfectly accomplished by an ocean of diligence; The intention of the Sutras and Tantras is like an ocean, together with a collection of practices like an ocean; The faith of the fortunate ones is like an ocean, filled with teachings like an ocean. The treasury possessing all faultless qualities, your complete biography, Even if recounted by countless tongues for eons, would not be exhausted; nevertheless, With unerring speech, I will speak here of only the common fame, May those assemblies of seekers with unfeigned faith listen with joy. The wisdom and compassion of all the Victorious Ones, gathered into one, in these degenerate times, 10-2-2a In this land of snow, transforming into a human form, the great being who works for the benefit of beings, in the world with gods, the one whose name is completely renowned as Konchok Gyaltsen (དཀོན་མཆོག་རྒྱལ་མཚན,Konchok Gyaltsen,Sanskrit: Ratna Dhvaja,Jewel Banner), his biography - Stream of Wonders, has been previously propagated in brief. Again, at the urging of those with faith in this excellent land, it is without fault to write this Ocean of Wonders. This has three parts: Entering the composition - the essence of the beginning; The subject to be composed - the essence of the main text; Completing the composition - the essence of the conclusion. The first has three parts: The meaning of the title; Offering praise; Vowing to explain. The first is: 'The Biography of the Venerable Great Lama Muspa - Stream of Wonders,' which means: The qualities of the Venerable Lama arise from an ocean that has not yet warmed, and seeing and hearing them create the splendor of wonders, and for the sake of leading disciples into the ocean of faith, it is called that. The second is: Offering praise. To the Buddha who shows the path, and to the Lama who grants attainments. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The first part is praising the Lama, which is divided into two parts. The first part is: 'Homage to the Victorious Vajradhara.' The second part is: 'Knowing the three times' etc., one verse. This verse combines the meaning of the Lama's name with knowledge, compassion, and power, showing that the Lama is the same as the three lords of the three families. The word 'nas' is a word to introduce the following. The third part is: 'Great being, holy one' etc., one verse. This great being, in terms of ultimate meaning, in the Akaniṣṭha Pure Land, fully awakened by manifesting the appearance of outer and inner enlightenment, and then in immeasurable worlds, benefiting sentient beings with immeasurable emanations. Therefore, all his liberation deeds cannot be fully described by anyone, because they are immeasurable. And in this land, what is commonly seen by the disciples who share the same karma with him, like an ocean, we scoop up with the hands of faith and wisdom, and feel satisfied in our hearts, thinking: 'I have received such teachings from such a holy one.' In order to generate faith in those who have not yet generated it, and to increase the faith of those who have already generated it, I will speak of what I have seen, deeply believed, and obtained certainty from hearing, thinking, and correct reasoning. Second, the meaning of the main practice Divided into three: telling the biography to realize the qualities, doing confession to increase merit, and making aspirations to achieve the result. Telling the biography to realize the qualities Divided into eight: the reason for being born into a special lineage, the reason for being motivated by the thought of renunciation, the reason for entering the doctrine, the reason for taming the mind through hearing and thinking, the reason for practicing meditation, the reason for being accepted by the Lama and the deity, the reason for benefiting others and promoting the Dharma with the result, and other inconceivable biographies. The reason for being born into a special lineage The first is: 'Vast aspiration' etc., one verse. With the aspiration 'May I become the protector of the unprotected beings', stirring the ocean of the two accumulations accumulated in the past, so that the teachings of the three baskets and four tantras, in this snow mountain surrounded by golden mountains, obtained the mountain of leisure and endowment. Moreover, in the northern part of Ü-Tsang Four Ru known as 'Yaru Jang', it is the place blessed by the holy Avalokiteśvara. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
