Q: When liberation is attained, Dharma, because the owner of 'I' also does not exist. Because one does not want the possession of 'I', therefore it is to be abandoned. If you concede, then when liberation is attained, the owner of that 'I' that you concede also does not exist. Because there is no agent and no enjoyer. Acknowledge this pervasiveness, because 'I' is considered to have the nature of acting and enjoying. Therefore, the third instruction is to uproot: A person who desires liberation should uproot from its very root the view of the perishable collection, which arises from the seed of a similar previous existence with a beginningless cause, through meditating on selflessness. Because it has been shown that if someone does not understand selflessness and practices suffering, etc., they cannot be liberated from samsara. Secondly, it is shown that realizing selflessness is the antidote to craving. 1-7-140b There are three aspects to being able to abandon craving through meditating on selflessness: refuting the argument that rituals are the antidote; refuting the argument that rituals are not the antidote; therefore, it also shows that the correct view is the antidote. First, there are three aspects: refuting that the ritual of empowerment is the antidote; refuting that reciting mantras is the antidote; refuting that serving the five fires is the antidote. First: If even without fundamentally eliminating the view of the perishable, one can be liberated by obtaining the empowerment of Ishvara (自在天), because it is said so in the scriptures of Ishvara. Then, for those who have realization, Dharma, merely by what is said in the scriptures of Ishvara, saying that the ritual of empowerment can liberate, you are not completely satisfied, because you do not see the reason why the thing that Ishvara's scriptures say is something that has an expressible meaning. Second: If reciting the mantras spoken in the scriptures of Ishvara can liberate from samsara, because reciting mantras does not cause a seed to sprout. Then, seeing the ritual where reciting mantras on a seed does not cause it to sprout, Dharma, it is not proven that a person will not produce a future existence. If it can be proven, then a person being anointed with sesame oil, burned by fire, boiled, etc., can also be liberated from future existence, because doing so to a seed will not cause it to sprout, and this will lead to a fault. Third: Serving the five fires can also liberate from future existence. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Therefore, by serving the five fires, a person's body becomes lighter than before, so, is it that sins are exhausted? The person who serves the five fires, your body, because it was heavy before and light later, it is not that sins have been destroyed, but because the elements of earth and water in your body have disappeared, so it was heavy before and light later, not because sins are heavy, because sins are not tangible. Refuting the arguments against non-antidotal practices. Divided into four parts: Through practices, the cause of rebirth does not diminish; refuting the argument that it diminishes; establishing the argument that it does not diminish; refuting that self is also needed as a cause of rebirth. Through practices, the cause of rebirth does not diminish. Firstly, the wrong view of clinging to suffering as happiness, and the craving that arises from it, and the mental activities that correspond to these two, even if these are cut off or abandoned, one will not cease to be reborn, because by these powers, one will fall into lower states, such as womb-birth, etc., because these are the causes of rebirth. Therefore, wrong views and craving and mental activities themselves are the causes capable of rebirth, because you groups are merely the cause of rebirth. If it is said that previous karma is also the cause of rebirth, so the statement 'merely' is unreasonable, then, wrong views and corresponding mental activities are different from your previous karma, because you yourself are the karma that becomes the cause of rebirth. Therefore, a person with self-grasping who has received the empowerment of Ishvara (a deity), will definitely be reborn, because the cause of rebirth—wrong views and mental activities—has not diminished. Refuting the argument that it diminishes. Divided into two parts: refuting the idea that the cause of rebirth is something else; refuting that the cause of rebirth itself diminishes. Refuting the idea that the cause of rebirth is something else. Firstly, a person who has received the empowerment of Ishvara will not be reborn, because unseen karma has disappeared. This is universal, the basis for going from one place to another, and for perceiving forms, sounds, etc., is action, such as the senses, etc., and these senses, etc., arise from unseen karma that has the nature of dharma and non-dharma. Therefore, karma is the formation that generates the engagement of the ten virtues and the ten non-virtues, which is called the merit of the self, and the mental activity that you consider is not karma, so the statement 'the cause of rebirth has not diminished' is not established.
