Regarding the entity of the continuum of mind (chos can), defilements do not have the potential to remain permanently, because it has the essence of being able to generate the seeing of selflessness that harms defilements. Just as fire does not last long on wet ground. This shows that even if the abandonment abandoned by the worldly path is likely to deteriorate during the learning stage, it can be quickly restored. Fourth, even if one strives to apply the antidote with three characteristics, it cannot be reversed: For the mind (chos can) that has completely pacified all harm and has the nature of happiness, therefore is harmless; that has objects such as impermanence, therefore has entered the true meaning; and that has become the nature of realizing selflessness due to the completion of habituation, even if some inverted thoughts generate faults, it cannot be reversed because the mind itself is inclined towards and has become accustomed to the path of realizing selflessness. The third part has three aspects: Merely having different ways of holding is not an antidote; merely suppressing one aspect is not an antidote; therefore, it shows the antidote that completely eradicates everything. First, if seeing selflessness becomes the antidote to self-grasping because the object and aspect of seeing selflessness and self-grasping are contradictory, then the object and aspect of attachment and hatred are also contradictory, so they should also be antidotes to each other. If you think so, then attachment and anger (chos can), even if they have different ways of holding, are not mutually harmful, because they both come from the same cause of self-grasping, and they also become the cause and effect of each other. Second, haven't the cultivation of love as an antidote to hatred and the cultivation of ugliness as an antidote to attachment, etc., been taught? Why is it said that only the realization of selflessness is the antidote? Love, etc., which focuses on sentient beings (chos can), is not a thorough eradication of faults, that is, uprooting from the root, because it is not contrary to ignorance and the way of holding, so it does not harm it. This is universally applicable because all faults are rooted in ignorance. The previous reason is established because the root of faults, ignorance, is also the view of the aggregates, and it is not contrary to the way of holding of that view. The Vaibhashikas and others say that the view of the aggregates is the perception of things as being the opposite of what they are, and ignorance is merely the blocking of reasoning, so they cannot be equated. If you think so, then ignorance

The proponent of phenomena, it is unreasonable to think that other consciousnesses besides the view of the perishable are merely blocked. Because consciousness is wisdom, and it aims at the same object, having the nature of entering into different aspects. Likewise, ignorance (Tibetan: མ་རིག་པ་, Romanization: marigpa, Sanskrit: अविद्या,Avidyā, meaning: ignorance) as a phenomenon, it aims at the object of wisdom consciousness, and it aims in a way that is contrary to that object. Because ignorance is the opposite of correct wisdom, it is what should be harmed. In general, if it is a mental factor, it must correspond to the mind in five aspects. Therefore, you (ignorance), as a mental factor, are the consciousness that grasps the object. Since your state is contrary to the state of wisdom, you do not grasp the true state. Furthermore, it is said in the scriptures that you have the nature of falsely imputing to objects. As it is said in the 'Moon Lamp Sutra': 'What is the absence of ignorance? It is the absence of imputation to the dharmas as they are in reality.' If so, then the statement that ignorance is associated with views is contradictory, because it is impossible for oneself to be associated with oneself. If someone says that others say that ignorance contradicts views in order to prove that the two are corresponding, then any sutra that says that ignorance contradicts views cannot prove that the two contradict each other, because ignorance belongs to the same side, and the view of the perishable is one of its sides, therefore the two are corresponding, which is what is to be discussed here. Therefore, (the following explains) the antidote that completely eradicates faults. Third, if someone asks, 'What is the antidote that completely cuts off sins?' Then, the path of observing the five aggregates as emptiness, as a phenomenon, is contrary to the nature of self-view and all the faults such as attachment that arise from it, therefore it is their antidote. Because you (self-view) and the observation of emptiness are directly opposed in the way of grasping, and you grasp the real existence of objects. Third, (the following refutes) the argument that there is no attainment of transformation. Someone says, 'Faults, as phenomena, will not be exhausted even if the antidote is practiced, because this is the nature of sentient beings. Just as colored objects have color, and fire has heat, they will not be exhausted.' Then, faults, as phenomena, you will not be inexhaustible because you are the nature of the mind, because you are not the nature of the mind. Because when the antidote of the view of no-self is connected to the mind stream, one can also see that the causes of your (faults) manifestation cease. If, like gold and other things that are melted by fire, they become hard again when the fire goes out, once faults are abandoned --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
