Even if the nature (of Ishvara) does not differ, it cannot be accepted because there is a reason for being a cause. Because from the contact of weapons etc. with the black body, wounds of the black body are produced; from the contact of medicine etc. with the black body, healing etc. occur. If the previous reason is not established, then Ishvara as the subject, it is also unreasonable to change from a state of non-cause to a difference in nature, because the nature without difference before and after is permanent. Not suitable as a cause due to lack of inverse relationship: The second point is, Ishvara as the subject, even your ability to produce results is difficult to be recognized by valid cognition, because with your constant power, your results have no inverse relationship, because you are permanent. Not suitable as a cause due to lack of co-occurrence: The third point is, whatever exists, such as potters and clay, a vase will arise. Ishvara as the subject, other than those, you are not the cause of the vase, because if you are considered the cause of the vase, then all results and causes will meet endlessly in a confused manner. Refuting the uncertainty of the previous reason: The fourth point is divided into two parts: refuting the uncertainty caused by external factors, and refuting the uncertainty caused by internal factors. Refuting the uncertainty caused by external factors: The first point is, if it is inferred that it is not a cause because it has not changed from a state of non-cause to a state of difference in nature, it is not established. Because earth etc. are permanent, even if they have not changed from a state of not producing sprouts to a state of difference in nature, they are the cause of sprouts. If you think so, then earth and seeds etc. as the subject, when producing sprouts, if they completely change from a state of not producing sprouts to a state of difference in nature, then they are the cause; if they do not change, then they are not the cause. Because in good cultivation etc., the good differences of the sprouts can be seen. Refuting the uncertainty caused by internal factors: The second point is, if, for example, just as the aggregation of object, sense, and attention, even if it has not changed from a state of non-aggregation to a state of difference, is the cause of producing sense consciousness, then Ishvara is also like this, even if it has not changed from a state of non-cause to a state of difference, it is the cause, therefore it is uncertain. If you think so, then the aggregation of these three factors as the subject, it is not that it has not changed from a state of non-aggregation to a state of difference, because there is a situation where it has changed from a state of non-aggregation to a state of difference. If there is no change, then even if the three factors aggregate, as the subject, they will lose the ability to produce sense consciousness, because individually, they do not have the ability to produce sense consciousness. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Because all conditions do not possess distinct inherent nature. Therefore, the aggregation of three conditions, the nature of phenomena, is established as distinct from non-aggregation, because it has the ability to generate sensory consciousness. Therefore, these three conditions, the nature of phenomena, are the cause of sensory consciousness and so on, because individually none of them possess the ability to generate sensory consciousness and so on, but when aggregated, they can possess the quality of becoming distinct with the ability to generate sensory consciousness. Ishvara (自在,Īśvara,Īśvara,The自在神) and so on, the nature of phenomena, are not the cause, because they do not possess distinct inherent nature. Secondly, to explain the perfection of its proof, there are two parts: marginal analysis and the actual meaning of the text. First, marginal analysis: Firstly, ancient scholars divided the necessity of mentioning 'transformation' into two types: 'distinction' and 'comprehension'. For the former, the refutation is: 'Validity is permanent, not existent or non-existent.' etc.; for the latter, the refutation is: 'Validity is the knowledge of hidden objects.' etc., totaling one verse. The answer is: 'To make known to those who do not know.' etc., totaling four verses, they all say this unanimously. However, this is not the intention of the author of the treatise, because 'being dependent on proof' is also the established meaning of the necessity of distinction, and it should not be explained separately as the necessity of comprehension. Even so, in the debate, three debates were raised, and only the first one was answered with four verses, so the latter two were not answered. If it is thought that the answers to the latter two were given by explaining the proof in a forward and reverse manner, then these three debates should be explained in the preliminary part of all the subsequent texts, but explaining them only in the preliminary part of the four verses is like covering the head with a cloth and not noticing who took the rear. In short, although the latter two debates were debates on the necessity of 'transformation', the four verses did not answer them, and although the four verses answered the first debate, it was not a debate on the necessity of 'transformation', so there is no connection at all. So how should it be? Up to this point, the object to be proven, validity and 'transformation' have been explained. The debate on validity is: 'Validity is the knowledge of hidden objects.', and the debate on the necessity of 'transformation' is that there is no such proof of validity, and even if there is, no one makes an effort to do so. These three debates are expressed here in one verse. The answer to the first debate did not actually appear in the opening salutation. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
