The three postures, the inexpressible state of Dharmakaya, and the meaning of mind being unborn and inconceivable, should not go beyond these. The Root Tantra says: Furthermore, all sentient beings in the three realms do not go beyond body, speech, and mind. Therefore, there is no need to seek the three bodies from elsewhere. Introduction to the Seven Groups of Five. Third, the introduction to the seven groups of five. The five bodies are: In the core of the precious citta, only the part of the seed of the bindu-wisdom, its essence is primordial purity, without defilement. Its spontaneous radiance, the body and wisdom inseparable, the light shining like a lamp inside a vase, in the vastness of the sky, the light and bindus, clear and subtle like a string of pearls, this appearance symbolizes the five bodies. The wisdom of awareness, clear as light, is Vairochana. That which is immutable is Akshobhya. The increasing clarity of light is Ratnasambhava. The immeasurable light is Amitabha. That which is spontaneously perfect without effort is Amoghasiddhi, thus seeing the faces of the Buddhas of the five families. Clear and without clinging to it is the path, and perfecting familiarity is obtaining the result. The Tantra says: One's own awareness and skill appear as the five bodies, Vairochana, Akshobhya, and Ratnasambhava appear, Amitabha and Amoghasiddhi appear. The five wisdoms are: From before the separation of samsara and nirvana, the nature of the wisdom of awareness is immaculate and clear, it is the mirror-like wisdom. The inseparability of the essence of light and clarity is the wisdom of equality. The clarity without mixing distinctions is the wisdom of discernment. That which is spontaneously accomplished without effort is the wisdom of accomplishing activities. The emptiness of being without root is the wisdom of the Dharmadhatu, which is the nature of the five wisdoms. Regarding the meaning of light and clarity, being undistracted and focused, the appearance is without bias, the clear appearance is without clinging, without difficulty, and abiding in a state of non-meditation and non-non-meditation is the path, and its perfection is the result. The Root Tantra says: Mirror-like, equality, discernment, accomplishing activities, and the wisdom of the Dharmadhatu. The five families are: The essence of the great light-emptiness is immutable, therefore it is the Vajra family. Abundant in qualities, therefore it is the Ratna family. The appearance is not stained by faults, therefore it is the Padma family. Those who are accustomed to this achieve everything without remainder, therefore it is the Karma family. This is the realm of all Buddhas, therefore it is the Tathagata family.

Are the five lineages, practicing within them is the path, and the ultimate is the result. As it says in "Self-Arisen": "The Tathagata lineage, the Vajra lineage, the Ratna lineage, the Padma lineage, and the Karma lineage." The five lights are: the clear light is white because it is without impurity, yellow because it is perfect in qualities, red because it is found without searching, green because it is perfect in activity and ability, and blue because it is unchanging and stable, thus abiding in five ways. Abiding within them is the path, and the ultimate is the result. As the Tantra says: "The qualities of awareness are clear as five lights." The five winds are: the appearance of clear light is inseparable from the warmth of wisdom, hence the wind that is like fire; the wind that holds the life of samsara and nirvana, hence the life-holding wind; the wind that separates the pure and impure of samsara and nirvana, hence the separating wind; the wind that pervades all equally, hence the pervasive wind; and the wind that cuts off the life of samsara and causes transcendence from suffering, hence the merciless wind of the kalpa of karma, and so on, five in all. Practice is the path, and the ultimate is the result. As it says in "Self-Arisen": "In the nature of the five winds of awareness, all sentient beings abide." The five wisdoms are: the dharmata of clear light, which distinguishes samsara and nirvana based on whether or not it is realized, hence the discriminating wisdom; the power of wisdom gathers appearances, hence the gathering wisdom; it pervades all, hence the pervasive wisdom; clear appearances have coming and going, hence the moving wisdom; and if that is realized, it liberates from samsara, hence the liberating wisdom, thus abiding in five ways. Practicing and perfecting that is the path and the result. As it says in that very text: "That, too, in the essence of awareness, possesses five aspects of wisdom." The five dakinis are: the clear light appears in five colors such as blue, hence one sees the faces of the five Buddhas such as Buddha Ṭākki. The five afflictions such as delusion are eliminated, and one comes into contact with the five wisdoms such as the dharmadhatu wisdom. All of that is the basis, practicing each individually is the path, and the ultimate is the result. As the Tantra says: "The wisdom of empty-clear awareness abides in five aspects as dakinis." Thus it is said. In this way, the five groups are also taught together. As that very Tantra says: "From the self-arisen power of awareness, the five bodies and the five wisdoms, the five lineages, the five lights, the five winds, the five wisdoms, and so on, abide." In short, the dharmata that abides in this way is conceptually fabricated, and the empty form arises from the interdependent origination of the efforts of holding the channels and winds.
