The way of observing is as follows: When looking at external appearances, whatever appears is seen as dream and illusion. Without abandoning delusion, it is purified in its own place, and afflictions are liberated in their own place. When looking at the mind of flowing thoughts, conceptual thoughts naturally vanish like mist in the sky. When looking at the secret, the clear light of Dharma-nature, there is not even a name for clinging to the state of being in equanimity. It is exhausted in the state of primordial purity. Furthermore, when looking at the nature of manifest awareness without distraction, one is naturally liberated from the views of mental judgment. Thus, the yogis of this view also see and liberate the meanings of other vehicles. As the Root Tantra says: 'When the nature of view is seen, mental words do not move.' And: 'Seeing manifest through the power of Dharma-nature, that is called view.' And: 'The Lamp Illuminating says: There are two kinds of view, the view of phenomena and the view of Dharma-nature. Those below Anu, according to their own desires, only look at the view of phenomena, so they do not touch the meaning of Dharma-nature. Some of the Ati do not see even a small part of this. The Great Perfection of the Thigle cycle, even with outer, inner, and secret, does not touch this meaning. Therefore, the oral instructions of the Great Secret, the view itself is extremely secret. In the view without action, it is seen with the eye without a seer.' And the Tantra says: 'All outer, inner, and secret, are seen and realized in their own nature.' And from 'The Letterless': 'Because there is no view, there is nothing to see. Know the view as non-action. Thus, if the meaning of non-dual view is realized, then in the meaning of view, there is naturally no view. It is neither existent nor non-existent, so abide in the nature of clear light.' And 'The Lion's Complete Power' says: 'The ultimate view of all Buddhas does not go beyond the two, space and wisdom.' And 'The Lamp Illuminating' says: 'For example, when one goes to the top of the King of Mountains, one sees the lower mountains. One sees the meaning of the lower tantras as they are. The lower does not see the higher.' In short, the essence of clear light is emptiness, its nature is clarity, and compassion arises without obstruction, which is the view of meditative equipoise. The appearance of various phenomena and existences, realizing that appearances have no inherent nature, like the moon in water, is the view after meditation. The highest do not need to strive further, the intermediate are liberated in the bardo, and the lowest attain Buddhahood in the pure land of the Nirmanakaya.

These ten are the gates of Dharma. They are the footprints of the guides. Thus it is said. The practice of distinguishing between samsara and nirvana is also the same as before. Here, the practice of asceticism to arouse the path is: in order to make the view and meditation meet and bring out their essence, if one has attachment, then one should associate with a Dharma friend; if one is free from attachment, then one should associate with the mudra of experience, and wander in charnel grounds or empty valleys in the manner of a beggar or a wounded wild animal, like a bee, and the seven practices of a wild animal, a mute, an owl, a madman, a lion, and a dog-pig, in accordance with the order of the faculties, are called the practice of asceticism and mastery. The way to practice it is to rely on one's own capacity, and for the beginner to engage in seeking hearing and thinking, like a bee, until pleasure and pain, good and bad are equal, and the seven aspects of the practice of yoga mastery arise spontaneously and unhindered on the basis of circumstances, as it is said in the Tantra: The nature of practice is equal taste, self-arisen and self-liberated, practice on the path. And as it is said in Self-Arisen: The practice of non-doing is self-born, uncorrected, unadorned. That is the great practice. And as it is said in the Tantra: The number of practices is summarized as seven. And, practice is asceticism and mastery. And as it is said in The Union of Sun and Moon: With the practice like a bee, experience the taste of all dharmas. With the practice like a wild animal, abandon the objects that cause delusion. With the practice like a mute, completely abandon the speech of delusion. With the practice like an owl, cut off the doubts of secret methods. With the practice like a madman, abandon the places where one stays in one place. With the practice like a lion, abandon the mind of fear and wander in the charnel ground. With the practice like a dog-pig, abandon the discriminations of clean and unclean. Thus it is said. Yoga of the Fruit. Fourth, regarding the yoga of the fruit, obtaining a firm ground and not regressing is the nature of the fruit, and the basis itself matures through the path, therefore it is called the fruit. There are two types: the temporary fruit is all those that mature commonly during the path stage. The ultimate fruit is: all the actions, habits, afflictions, and obscurations of the three doors, like a snake's knot, self-arising and self-
