Body, speech uninterruptedly clear, is the awareness of the Sambhogakaya, mind without conceptualization, awareness is the Dharmakaya, originally spontaneously accomplished, therefore henceforth the body is the three ways of abiding of the three kayas, speech is inexpressible, is the nature of the Dharmakaya, mind is unborn, is the inconceivable meaning, one should not go beyond these. As it says in the Root Tantra: Furthermore, all sentient beings in the three realms, Do not go beyond body, speech, and mind, No need to seek the three kayas from elsewhere. Thus it is said.

Of the family. Because the appearance is without fault, it is the Padma family. Those who are accustomed to them will be completely accomplished, so it is the Karma family. This is the path of all Buddhas, so it is the Tathagata family. Being accustomed to it is the path, and the ultimate is the fruit. From Rangshar it says: The Tathagata family and, the Vajra family and the Ratna family, the Padma family and the Karma family. Thus it is said. The five lights are: Because those clear lights are without impurities, they are white. Because the qualities are complete, they are yellow. Because they are not sought and left alone, they are red. Because the ability to act is complete, they are green. Because they are unchanging and stable, they are blue. Thus they abide in five. Abiding in them is the path, and the ultimate is the fruit. From the Tantra it says: The qualities of awareness are clear as five lights. Thus it is said. The five winds are: Because this appearance of clear light is inseparable from the warmth of wisdom, it is a wind equal to fire. Because it holds the life of samsara and nirvana, it is the life-holding wind. Because it separates the pure and impure of samsara and nirvana, it is the separating wind. Because it spreads equally to all, it is the pervasive wind. Because it cuts off the life of samsara and causes liberation, it is the merciless wind of kalpa karma, these are five. Being accustomed to them is the path, and the ultimate is the fruit. From Rangshar it says: In the nature of the five winds of awareness, it abides in all sentient beings. The five wisdoms are: Because the nature of clear light separates samsara and nirvana by understanding and not understanding, it is the separating wisdom. Because the ability of wisdom gathers appearances, it is the gathering wisdom. Because it pervades all, it is the pervasive wisdom. Because the clear appearance has coming and going, it is the moving wisdom. If one understands it, one is liberated from samsara, so it is the liberating wisdom, thus it abides in five. Being accustomed to them and being ultimate is the path and the fruit. From it (Rangshar) it says: That also, in the nature of awareness, is endowed with five kinds of wisdom. Thus it is said. The five dakinis are: Because clear light appears as five colors such as blue, one sees the faces of the five Buddhas such as Taki. The five afflictions such as delusion are extinguished, and one touches the five wisdoms such as the Dharmadhatu wisdom. All of them are the base. Being accustomed to each is the path, and the ultimate is the fruit. From the Tantra it says: The clear light of clear awareness abides as five kinds of dakinis. Thus it is said. Thus, the five groups are shown together, and from that Tantra it says: From the self-born power of clear awareness, the five bodies and the five wisdoms, the five families, the five lights, the winds.

are five. Abiding in the five wisdoms and so forth. Thus it is said. In short, these natures that abide in such a way are not mentally fabricated, nor are they empty forms arising from the interdependence of grasping at the root-winds, nor are they mental images examined by awareness and attention, but they are seen as the very nature of appearances and experiences that are primordially established, the nature of reality that is manifestly unerring. That is, the nature of the element (Sanskrit: dhātu), which is primordially pure from the beginning, emptiness and clarity uncompounded, is wisdom. The nature of awareness, the appearance of the great luminosity of reality, is skillful means. It abides in a state of inseparable appearance and emptiness as the essence of spontaneous perfection from the beginning. And that appearance is not a compounded, decaying phenomenon of conventional truth, but the ultimate, uncompounded, unchanging state of reality. These luminous appearances are not like the illusions of the world. As the Jeweled Rosary states: "The nature of the element is the wisdom body, the nature of awareness is the skillful means body, abiding in a state of inseparability." And as the Root Tantra states: "The essence of awareness is a continuous thread, in the past, future, and present. Since it is not made by anyone, it is uncompounded. The nature of a continuous thread, since all discriminations are pure, is the Buddha of the unconfused ground. For the fortunate one who relies on the manifest, there is no name for the three realms of samsara, therefore, the life-force of the three existences is severed." And as The Lamp That Illuminates states: "These various appearances that arise in this way are not made or brought about by steps, but are primordially established as the ground. In such a confident yoga, there is no mind of joy in arising, for the way of abiding is primordially such. The sounds of earth, water, fire, and wind cannot destroy the appearance of the lamp of awareness. An unpredicted individual, with a clear lamp, a clear empty mirror, or even if viewed with clear empty eyes, will not see it. Even if examined by philosophical tenets and views and meditations, it will not be found. It is not made by gods or powerful beings, it is not a delusion like worldly appearances. Attachment, aversion, and ignorance do not primordially obscure it. The self-appearances that arise in oneself cannot be examined by wisdom. Even if examined by tantras, scriptures, and instructions, it will not be seen. Hell, animals,
