Having blocked all thoughts of places, mind-fixations of generation and completion stages, the movement of secret conceptual thoughts, and aspects of abandoning and adopting, one should remain in a state of non-conceptuality. As a sign of having released the activities of body, speech, and mind, one should repeat the process until the desire to engage in any activity of the three doors does not arise. If one does not fundamentally release activity in this way, it is difficult for the wisdom of awareness to arise in the mind-stream. If one releases it, although the three doors may temporarily err and not follow, ultimately, uncontaminated wisdom will quickly dawn in the mind-stream. As it says in the 'Vast Expanse of Clarity': 'Because it does not abide in a continuous state of non-action, there is no touching the meaning of awareness.' And: 'When the continuous erring of body and speech ceases, wisdom will abide in the mind-stream.' It is said that after that, if time passes, some will encounter this Dharma in a future life and attain complete Buddhahood without remainder. Most will undoubtedly be liberated in the bardo in the state of primordial purity. This is what Longchenpa said. How the Actual Uncontaminated Wisdom Arises The Crucial Points of the Three Doors The Crucial Point of the Body Secondly, regarding the way to rely on the continuum of actual uncontaminated wisdom, there are the crucial points of the three doors, directly introducing self-nature through four crucial points, and introducing the meaning of the introduction. Firstly, regarding the way to seize the crucial points of the three doors, as it says in 'Transcending Thought': 'The direct crucial point is body, speech, and mind; properly adjust the crucial points of each.' Like that, of the three doors, firstly, regarding seizing the crucial point of the body, there are four aspects: the way it needs to be seized, the actual seizing, the faults of not seizing, and the qualities of seizing. The way the crucial point of the body needs to be seized is, as it says in the 'Vast Expanse of Clarity': 'Even though awareness has become established in the body, if you do not restrain these wheels of samsara and nirvana, it cannot appear as the power of wisdom.' It means that the appearance of awareness, the nature of reality, is inherently abiding within oneself, and wanting to see it directly with the senses, one must first seize the crucial points of body and speech. The actual seizing is, as it says in 'Transcending Thought': 'The body should not depart from the posture of the three kayas.' And as it says in 'String of Pearls': 'The crucial points of the body are threefold: the posture of a lion, the posture of an elephant, and abiding like a sage.' And as it says in 'After Death': 'Arrange the postures of elephant, lion, and sage.' Thus, the posture of the Dharmakaya is like a lion on a cushion.

Sitting in a dog-like posture, with the knees slightly spread outwards and the soles of the feet facing forward, suppresses the moving winds. Placing the thumbs at the base of the index fingers and curling the remaining fingers, placing the palms on the ground in the middle or inside of the soles of the feet balances the elements. Straightening the body and making the upper body hollow allows the winds to flow smoothly. Raising the head and neck upwards stops conceptual thoughts and increases strength. Staring motionlessly at the sky between the eyebrows gives rise to the Vajra Eye. This posture and gaze temporarily free one from all fears of delusion, the inner elements dissolve in their own place, and ultimately, realizing the meaning of the ultimate reality, one is liberated into the Dharmakaya. The posture of the Sambhogakaya is: lying face down like an elephant sleeping, with the elbows placed on the ground, balances the male, female, and neuter winds. Bringing the knees and chest together increases essence and bliss-warmth. Supporting the Adam's apple with the palms and placing the fingers on the cheeks stops the coarse winds. Pushing the toes outwards and curling them, straightening the spine and slightly raising the head balances dullness and agitation. Looking askance at the sky directly in front gives rise to the Lotus Eye. This seizes the moving winds, and the five spontaneously arising lights appear, thus engaging in the meaning of suchness, and ultimately one is liberated into the Sambhogakaya. The posture of the Nirmanakaya is: sitting upright like an honest person balances the channels and winds. Placing the two shanks together and placing the soles of the feet on the ground suppresses the power of water. Slightly contracting the anus and pressing against the spine cuts off thoughts. Bringing the knees and chest together causes mirror-like wisdom to arise. Placing the elbows of both hands on the knees and lifting the collarbone with the Vajra fist of crossed wrists balances heat and cold. Alternatively, encircling the elbows around the kidneys and touching them cures cold diseases. Alternatively, encircling and covering the knees cures hot diseases. Straightening the spine allows the winds and mind to flow in suchness. Lowering the eyes slightly and gazing drowsily at the space gives rise to the Dharma Eye. At this time, warmth arises in the body, the elements are balanced, and one gains mastery over the meaning of suchness, and ultimately one is liberated into the Nirmanakaya. Thus, whatever posture one takes, it should not be too constrained or closed, but rather relaxed and at ease in every way.
