Having vowed, there is no turning back. The voices of gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, pretas, and the all-pervading, express the distinctions of good and bad. In short, the voices of the six realms are expressed through thoughts and contemplations in the mind, and spoken through speech. Thus it is said. In the lineage of the only son of the Buddha, it is said: "Joy and sorrow, pleasure and pain, permanence and impermanence, and so on, the thoughts of view, meditation, and conduct, and dharma and non-dharma, and so on, attachment, hatred, and ignorance, and virtue and non-virtue, and so on, are all kinds of thoughts and actions." Therefore, with the body, one takes upon oneself the suffering of the heat and cold of hell beings, the hunger and thirst of pretas, the exploitation of animals, the fighting of asuras, the falling of gods, and so on, and takes on the various appearances and actions of each of the six realms. From the way of generating the mind of enlightenment at the beginning, until becoming a Buddha and teaching the Dharma, and until passing into nirvana and the teachings remaining, one engages in the conduct, and also engages in various actions such as running and jumping, walking and sitting, extending and contracting limbs, contracting and stretching, and so on, various illusion wheels. Shaking, dancing, jumping, peaceful and wrathful postures, playing with songs, dances, and games, and so on, whatever one can think of, one performs these actions, causing weariness and fatigue. With the voice, one makes the sounds of hell beings, "Atsa tsa, achu chu, ana na, kyehud," and so on. The pretas say, "I am hungry, I am cold, I am thirsty, I have nothing," and so on. The animals say, "U, mu, ba, wang, am," and so on. The humans make crying sounds, wailing, words of sorrow, and so on. The asuras say, "Fight, kill, cut, stab, hit, chop," and so on. The gods sing and dance, and at the end of joyful words, they say, "The tree is dry, the spring is dry, where did my friend go, the horse is dead, the cow is lost, do I smell bad, if I die will I fall into a bad rebirth, kyehud," and so on, the sounds of each of the six realms, and the sounds of the four elements, and the words of dharma such as teaching and debating, and the peaceful and wrathful mantra sounds, the vajra songs, and the fierce laughter, "Hum hum phat phat," and so on, various chaotic sounds and verbal expressions, one trains oneself by making these sounds. With the mind, one takes upon oneself all the suffering and happiness of each of them, and experiences them oneself.

I. (Regarding) like and dislike, happiness and suffering, attachment and hatred, permanence and impermanence, etc., all the thoughts of good and non-good that come to mind, force the arising and gathering of various thoughts, thereby feeling very exhausted. Especially, from beginningless samsara, countless rebirths have been taken, and each body has experienced the suffering of the six realms in their respective forms and behaviors, which is inconceivable. The sound of speech also becomes the cause of dualistic clinging. This mind, if recognized, is no different from the mind of the Buddha, but due to being dominated by ignorance, it wanders in samsara. Even though it experiences so much suffering as a result of cause and effect, it is completely meaningless. This great delusion is due to not distinguishing between samsara and nirvana. Now, one must distinguish them and resolve not to wander in samsara again. Therefore, when the three doors of body, speech, and mind arise in a state of fatigue and weariness, look at the self-nature of subsequent awareness and rest. By doing this repeatedly, one will feel as if there is no body, no attachment to the body, no negation and affirmation, no heat and cold, no sickness, no suffering of hunger and thirst, etc., and if such experiences arise, it is a sign of distinguishing the body from samsara and nirvana. The sign of speech is that understanding arises from the guru's instructions, without deliberately clinging to the meaning of the words, but spontaneously arising wisdom from meditation, thereby easily understanding the meaning of the words of the instructions, which is a sign of distinguishing speech from samsara. The sign of mind is clarity and brightness, without confusion, and interest arises in the instructions, liking the experience, and happiness arising, etc., which is a sign of distinguishing mind from samsara. Like this, until the signs of distinguishing the three doors of body, speech, and mind from samsara are not obtained, one should continue for seven days or eleven days, half a month, etc., and practice repeatedly.
