Furthermore, non-attention and attention, these are the five faults. As it is said, obstacles and, abandoning them, the eight aspects of attention, abiding and abiding therein, cause and effect as well. Not forgetting the object, and lethargy and agitation, and conceptual thought, abandoning them, manifest attention, abiding naturally in tranquility. As it is said, thus the antidotes are taught. Moreover, during equipoise, it is like conceptual thoughts increasing more than before, and like the ha-chad-de-va sometimes abiding and sometimes not abiding, and even when abiding, there is a subtle attention deep down that is not subdued, all three of these are signs of striving to abide. Obstructing the scattering of thoughts does not subdue them, because spreading them out endlessly and entrusting them to Ar, the power weakens, or when the scattering is cut off by unfailing mindfulness and awareness, and one gains the self-nature of abiding, then one abides in that state, just like a crow flying up from a pond, circling and circling and then landing there again. As it is said. Also, in lethargy, eliminate the stale air, straighten the body posture and raise the gaze, raise the awareness and exert the intelligence, then it becomes clear. In agitation, relax the body posture and lower the gaze, relax the mind and awareness and let it rest in its natural state, then it is subdued. In contemplation, cultivate skill in calm abiding and insight separately, and sometimes when the sky is clear and cloudless, turn your back to the sun and restrain your gaze at the height of the sky, and look at it. For example, the outer sky opens the door to emptiness and clarity, and for example, the inner sky of awareness is purified, the secret luminous essence of the sky, the nature of reality that is clear and empty, beyond all edges and centers, appears in an instant. When you are somewhat accustomed to the practice and have gained stability, then mix it with all activities and mix it with various conditions. By this, everything appears as a play of the nature of reality. Samatha and vipassana are inseparable, beyond the calculations of hope and fear, and are liberated into the realization of the exhaustion of phenomena, primordial purity. At that time, conceptual thoughts are not abandoned but liberated from the root, so there is no effort to liberate again. Whatever arises is liberated in its own place, so there is no antidote of mindfulness and grasping. The six objects are nakedly seen and self-liberated, so awareness is free from the grasping of before and after. Good and bad are completely liberated and known, so one gains the confidence of abandoning bias and acceptance, as it is said in the Thorough Transformation, "Self-awareness is free from all conceptual thoughts, endowed with the four great ways of liberation, liberated from the beginning, so there is no basis for repetition."

without. Self-liberation, therefore no antidote. Direct viewing liberates, therefore vanishes in sight. Complete liberation, therefore no effort. Thus, the awareness or conceptualization labeled as liberation is merely a designation, not going anywhere, nor coming from anywhere. It transcends causes, conditions, and objects. Like the reflection in a clear, empty mirror, no matter how it appears, it neither benefits nor harms the ground. Free from partiality and the grasping of effort, whatever arises is unattached, rootless awareness. Abiding in its own place, self-arising, it is self-liberated. Abiding in indeterminacy, it is liberated in non-grasping. Abiding in primordial liberation, it is liberated in groundlessness. Abiding in the moment of impact, it is liberated upon being struck. Abiding in the moment of arising, it is liberated into appearance and emptiness. In the great equality of arising liberation, without cultivation, the original state of primordial purity is manifested and liberated. Furthermore, as stated in *Transcending Extremes*: "What is called self-mind liberation is not going from one place to another. There is no mind that liberates. Since it is complete from the ground, there is no coming and going. Since it cannot be examined, there is no cessation. Since the root is detached, it abides in emptiness and clarity. The nature of mind abiding in self-illumination is liberated by the key point, therefore without partiality; liberated by time, therefore without dependence; liberated without effort, therefore without diligence." Thus it is said. Thus, the instructions for practicing the profound meaning of Trekchö of Kadag are complete. The Profound Path of Spontaneous Leap-Over (Tögal). The Way Tögal Surpasses Trekchö. The second meaning is to directly reveal the spontaneously present wisdom, which is to reveal the profound path of the Great Luminosity Leap-Over (Tögal). This has two parts: 1. The way Tögal surpasses Trekchö; 2. The actual special path. First, this path is shown to be superior by seven superiorities: Trekchö cannot purify the objects of mistaken appearance such as stones, trees, mountains, and rocks, but Tögal has the special characteristic of purifying appearances into the five lights. Similarly, the teaching that awareness is primordially luminous, Trekchö only decides that it is empty and clear, but here, by restraining the key points, the expanse of wisdom is opened, and the rays of Dharmata are seen. In the former, the doors of the six senses are impure, and purity is sought by abandoning attachment to mistaken appearances. Here, the door of pure luminosity is opened by the wind of wisdom, and the inner and outer are completely penetrated by the senses, and the Dharmadhatu
