Etc., and the sounds of animals, the sounds of insects, bleating, vaṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari, vaṃ, sound), aṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari, aṃ, sound), etc., the sound of human crying, wailing, words of sorrow, etc., the shouting of Asuras, chopping, splitting, hitting, stabbing, etc., and the songs and dances of gods, etc., after words of joy, the trees are withered, the springs are dried up, where did the friends go? The horse is dead, the cow is lost, do I smell bad? If I die, will I fall into the lower realms? Alas, etc., the sounds of each of the six realms, the sounds of the four elements, Dharma-related words such as teaching and debate, peaceful and wrathful mantra sounds, vajra songs, fierce laughter hūṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari, hūṃ, seed syllable), hūṃ (Tibetan, Devanagari, hūṃ, seed syllable), phaṭ (Tibetan, Devanagari, phaṭ, subduing), phaṭ (Tibetan, Devanagari, phaṭ, subduing), etc., various expressions of noisy sounds and speech, practice by uttering these sounds. In the mind, transfer all the collections of suffering and happiness of each of them from their respective directions onto your own continuum and personally experience them. Happiness and unhappiness, pleasure and pain, attachment and hatred, permanence and impermanence, etc., whatever good or bad thoughts arise, forcibly arouse various expanding and contracting thoughts, making them thoroughly exhausted. In particular, from beginningless samsara, having taken countless rebirths, from each and every body, the six realms each experienced the suffering of their respective forms and behaviors, which is inconceivable. The sound of speaking with the tongue also became a cause and condition for dualistic clinging. If this mind is recognized, it is no different from the mind of the Buddha, but because it is dominated by ignorance, it wanders in samsara, and even though it experiences so much suffering as cause and effect, it is completely meaningless. This extremely serious mistake is due to not distinguishing between samsara and nirvana. Now it is necessary to distinguish them and resolve not to wander in samsara again. When the three doors (body, speech, and mind) show signs of fatigue and weariness, look at the nature of awareness (subsequent awareness) and rest. By doing this repeatedly, if the feeling of having no body arises, and there is no attachment to the body, no affirmation and negation, no heat and cold, no suffering of hunger and thirst, etc., then that is a sign that the body has distinguished between samsara and nirvana. The sign of speech is that understanding arises from the guru's instructions, without deliberately clinging to the meaning of the words, and wisdom arising from meditation spontaneously arises, making it easy to understand the meaning of the guru's instructions, that is a sign that speech has distinguished between samsara and nirvana. The sign of mind is that it is clear and bright, without confusion.
