Appearances such as these, and within them, the lamp of self-originated wisdom, like the mind of the master of the Vajra Chain, clearly manifests. It must be recognized by the distinction of three aspects of one essence. Experiencing the inner awareness that is extremely without object is the essence of wisdom. To that, the wisdom of object-awareness is sharp and swift, and the spontaneous arising of words and meanings is the power of wisdom. The awareness of higher seeing, appearing like a knot initially tied in a horse's tail in the Vajra Chain, or like a pearl necklace, or a floating golden thread, or like a bouquet of flowers, is considered the radiance of wisdom. Thus, in the Root Tantra, it is said: 'From the precious palace of the Citta, the essence is pure from the beginning. The union of emptiness and clarity is the radiance of the body. Complete with face and hands, it is in the form of the vase body. Spontaneously accomplished, it abides in a mass of light. Compassion is distinctly clear in each aspect.' Also, in the Tantra of the Great Perfection, the Sphere of Wisdom, it is said: 'Connected from the heart to the eye, the self-originated great secret channel has a tube of Kati crystal.' Also, in the Golden Garland, it is said: 'The channel connected to the ocean of jewels, white, soft, and hollow, unstained by the blood of bindu, great wisdom flows from there.' Also, in the Tantra, it is said: 'Especially connected from the Citta, the silk thread is like the hair of a yak, piercing the eye of the senses; all dharmata is the path.' Also, in Self-Arisen, it is said: 'These four lamps are as follows: the lamp of the empty bindu, the lamp of awareness's realm, the lamp of self-originated wisdom, and the lamps of the distant water. They abide in all sentient beings.' Thus it is said.

Like a network of flowers, appearing as double or triple weaves, in the center of that swirling five-colored light, like the splendor of a peacock's tail. Meditate by enclosing the bindu, from the size of a bean to the size of a country, as if throwing a stone into water, or imprisoning it within a fence like a balloon enclosure. Moreover, initially, it appears like a mirage, flickering and indistinct, but then gradually guide it through contemplation, leading it into the enclosure of the expanse. At that point, if you analyze the appearance of light, distinguishing between "is" and "is not," or if you are distracted by thoughts and mistake the appearance for a real object, there is a danger of being bound by obstacles and stray paths. Therefore, simply recognize the nature of awareness with your own awareness. Without any mental fabrication, alteration, speculation, clinging, or attachment to the self-illuminating nature of reality. Rely on the stillness that does not deviate from the essential point. If the appearance of clear light is unclear, or if it is distorted upwards, downwards, leftwards, or rightwards, do not blindly follow the eyes and mind. Instead, gently guide it from the corner of your eye through contemplation, so that it appears as before. Focus on it with unwavering mind, without being distracted by clinging and thoughts. Train and become accustomed to the conduct of maintaining self-possession, which is inexpressible and free from elaboration. The sign of mastering this is that the bindu remains still without flickering. Therefore, the more the inner channels and elements become clear and powerful as light, the more the clear light of the expanse of awareness separates from the space between the eyebrows, appearing without dimming or brightening, and so on. Because the object and subject of perception merge without distinction, dependence on external conditions gradually decreases, and the practice of the four visions increases. The experiences of appearance and awareness will arise sequentially. Here, because it is seen with the eye of flesh, it is necessary to return to the ground of exhaustion. If seen with the eye of wisdom, the certainty of sequence can be abandoned, and exhaustion will occur all at once. For some individuals with excellent faculties, there are also uncertain ways of appearance, because the capacities of beings are inconceivable. None of these should be mistaken for signs of the path, because due to the factors of heat and moisture, some crops may ripen too early and turn into inferior sugar. Therefore, only a qualified person can...
