Practicing on one's own. Mixing with circumstances. Fourth, after understanding the meaning of the primordial purity of the original state of reality, practicing the skill of practice on one's own involves three aspects: mixing with circumstances, placing in the womb, and the method of blocking and binding. First, mixing the three self-liberations with circumstances to practice the skill, the Meaning Instructions state: "Introduce the five poisons as self-liberation, introduce the five senses as self-liberation, introduce the six consciousnesses as self-liberation." Thus, becoming proficient and abiding in that state, the meaning of Trekchö is established. Omniscient Longchenpa said: "The five poisons, the five senses, and the six consciousnesses are the three self-liberations." Here too, similarly, first, the self-liberation of the five poisons means that whatever of the five poisonous emotions arises, which destroys lasting happiness and steals the life of liberation, without abandoning it, abiding in its own great state of self-liberation, it will spread widely into the five wisdoms without grasping, becoming primordially liberated. Similarly, whatever coarse or subtle thoughts arise from it, without acceptance or rejection, abiding in the state of whatever arises, one will become self-liberated in the great primordial purity. The self-liberation of the six consciousnesses means that whatever acceptance or rejection arises from the six objects of sight, sound, smell, taste, touch, and phenomena, by the six consciousnesses composed of the five senses and the mind, in whatever arises, relaxing in the great natural state, one will be liberated in the great groundlessness of primordial emptiness. Omniscient Longchenpa said: "In the three poisons, five senses, six consciousnesses, and all objects, whatever arises, abide in the self-nature of ground liberation and primordial liberation. Without distraction or abiding, liberate in the nature of reality. The king without attachment, the ungrasping arises." Placing in the womb. Second, placing such a nature in the womb of the four modes of spontaneous abiding means that for such a self-illuminating awareness that is introduced as being beyond thought and expression, without engaging in the grasping efforts of the mind or the antidote of deliberate meditation, abiding in vast immutability is the view of the mountain-like spontaneous abiding. Like the three modes of spontaneous abiding described earlier, without grasping or altering the appearances of the six consciousnesses, like the ocean unmoved by waves, in this state, placing awareness clearly and purely is the meditation of the ocean-like spontaneous abiding. Relaxing and abiding in the three doors, in the gap between view and meditation, the wisdom of meaning is clearly and nakedly seen

The key instruction for maintaining conduct is to leave appearances as they are. By leaving the five senses and their corresponding consciousnesses in their natural state, self-luminous naked awareness vividly arises. The five winds are bound in space, and outwardly, the pure light of self-appearing phenomena, such as smoke, mirages, rainbows, etc., appears in accordance with common appearances. This itself is considered the yoga of the vast expanse of space in the unconditioned, naturally aware fruition. As it says in "The Lamp That Illuminates": "Mount Meru, leaving it as it is, is the measure of view. The ocean, leaving it as it is, is the measure of meditation. Appearances, leaving them as they are, is the measure of conduct. Awareness, leaving it as it is, is the measure of fruition. The yogi who possesses these four measures merges with the definitive meaning." So it is said. Cessation and Contraction. Third, in the nature free from action, the method of cessation and contraction in the spontaneously co-emergent, vast expanse of the three doors is as follows: The greatness of the essential point of the Great Perfection of Naturalness is the meaning established by the twelve great vajra laughs and the eight great vajra words that purify the eight collections of consciousness. Taking direct awareness, which transcends cause and effect, acceptance and rejection, as the path, without any change in the three times. However, for great yogis who have attained such a state as to be able to compete with masters such as Padmasambhava, Vimalamitra, and Tilopa, it is possible to directly teach the absence of cause and effect, virtue and vice. For those like us, although we understand this intellectually, we have not yet reached the point of familiarity. Therefore, it is necessary to explain in conjunction with not being afraid of the natural state and being cautious about subtle karmic results. As the omniscient father and son have said, for those of lesser intelligence, it is necessary to explain by distinguishing between the two truths in order to gradually realize them. Therefore, if one has recognized the experiential state described above, then by continuing to practice it, one will gradually gain stability. For those with dull faculties who have not cut through superimposition and denial, it is still necessary to identify whatever afflictive thoughts arise and leave them in their own place, so that the nature of the afflictions disappears, becoming a rootless state with nowhere to be found. By maintaining the intention of pure abiding, one should diligently meditate and train. For those with sharp faculties and great intelligence, by the key point of the self-liberation of phenomena from their own ground, no matter what afflictive thoughts arise, their nature cannot be established, just like a knot in a horse's tail that unties itself. Arising and liberation occur simultaneously, realizing without discrimination, again...
