Therefore, it is explained by 'etc.' that in a state of perfect purity, there is no distinction, inseparable, inconceivable, and surpassing the sands of the Ganges River, the Dharmas of the Buddhas are not newly born, because they inherently possess these natures.' This is a practical explanation that does not deviate from the scriptures, but it contradicts the previous commitment. Therefore, this kind of explanation is like a fundamental subversive interpretation that pretends to be a son and cuts off descendants. 'The four causes are inconceivable, without distinction, for the sake of Dharma.' And the two meanings of this explanation quoted earlier: Powers, etc., are the unique merits of the stainless Buddha, and only the Buddha of fruition can obtain them, while others cannot. Even so, they also exist as hidden Dharmata in the continuum of all sentient beings, so the Dharmata powers, etc., of the previous sentient being period, and the Dharmata powers, etc., of the later Buddha period, between the two, there is no difference between the previous bad and the later good, etc., seemingly contradictory but not contradictory, so it is said to be inconceivable. If sentient beings do not even have Dharmata, then it is conceivable. Here, others (Khenpo) say: 'Here it is said that Dharmata exists without difference before and after, and below it is also said that it exists in a state of no difference to everything at all times, this should be viewed with Dharmata as the standard.' Because important things are described with Dharmata, generally speaking, Dharma and Dharmata are combined and cannot be separated. If it is said that sentient beings have the Dharmata of powers, etc., but do not have powers, etc., themselves, then sentient beings should have powers, etc., because they have the Dharmata of powers, etc. The three wheels have already been acknowledged, so the pervasion as the reason and the manifest pervasion as the example are inseparable. This misunderstanding of 'mentioning Dharmata' etc. is a statement that goes against the profound reality and ultimate meaning of Dharmata. What harm is there in using the word Dharmata for the powers, etc., of Dharmata that we speak of? It's like giving poison to a peacock. The wisdom of the Buddha's powers, etc., mentioned here is merely Dharmata. As the *Mahaparinirvana Sutra* says: 'The Dharma of the Buddhas is the Dharmata of all Dharmas.' If Nirvana is from non-existence to existence, then it is not the unconditioned, permanent Dharma. ' And using nine metaphors to illustrate that sentient beings have Buddha-nature, it is also the Buddha of Dharmata and the Dharmata of... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Such as powers, etc. In the causal stage, the lineage of self-nature (Tibetan: རིགས, literal meaning: family, race), like a treasure, possesses powers, etc. Because the obscuring impurities are purified, in the fruition stage, the power of the essence (Tibetan: ངོ་བོ་ཉིད, literal meaning: self-nature) body (Tibetan: སྐུ, Sanskrit Devanagari: रूप, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: rūpa, literal meaning: form) manifests, like a treasure appearing. As it is said in the 'Dharma Treasure': 'Sentient beings dwelling in the house of mind are like the poor.' And, 'The beauty of the essence body should be known as like a precious image. Self-nature is uncreated, and qualities are a treasure of jewels.' And, 'The essence body of the Able One (Shakyamuni Buddha) is the uncontaminated Dharma, having attained all pure aspects, those possessing the characteristics of self-nature, the qualities conducive to enlightenment (Tibetan: བྱང་ཆུབ, Sanskrit Devanagari: बोध, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: bodhi, literal meaning: awakening) and immeasurable (Tibetan: ཚད་མེད, Sanskrit Devanagari: अप्रमाण, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: apramāṇa, literal meaning: immeasurable),' up to 'It is called the Dharmakaya (Tibetan: ཆོས་ཀྱི་སྐུ, Sanskrit Devanagari: धर्मकाय, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: dharmakāya, literal meaning: Dharma Body).' All the wisdom (Tibetan: ཡེ་ཤེས, Sanskrit Devanagari: ज्ञान, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: jñāna, literal meaning: wisdom) of the stainless nature of reality (Tibetan: ཆོས་ཉིད, Sanskrit Devanagari: धर्मता, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: dharmatā, literal meaning: suchness) are taught in the essence body. In the 'Ornament of the Sutras' it is also said that the Mahayana (Tibetan: ཐེག་ཆེན, Sanskrit Devanagari: महायान, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: mahāyāna, literal meaning: Great Vehicle) lineage possesses powers, etc., 'Those are superior and correspond with all and great meaning.' Here, lineage is shown to be supreme for four reasons; lineage is the cause of particularly superior roots of virtue, all great meaning, and inexhaustibility. The roots of virtue of the Shravakas (Tibetan: ཉན་ཐོས, Sanskrit Devanagari: श्रावक, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: śrāvaka, literal meaning: Hearers) are not cultivated in that way; all is not present, because there is no power, fearlessness, etc.' In the 'Distinguishing the Middle from the Extremes', in the section explaining that all dharmas (Tibetan: ཆོས, Sanskrit Devanagari: धर्म, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: dharma, literal meaning: phenomena) are emptiness (Tibetan: སྟོང་པ་ཉིད, Sanskrit Devanagari: शून्यता, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: śūnyatā, literal meaning: emptiness), 'To purify the Buddha's teachings, Bodhisattvas (Tibetan: བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་དཔའ, Sanskrit Devanagari: बोधिसत्त्व, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: bodhisattva, literal meaning: Enlightenment Being) should practice.' This refers to power, fearlessness, and non-contamination, etc. 'The powers, etc., of the nature of reality, which sentient beings possess with defilements, are purified by Bodhisattvas.' This is the meaning of 'This general characteristic, ultimate qualities, and pervasiveness' in the 'Uttaratantra'. Although sentient beings have the general characteristics of the Buddha, only self-awareness and self-illumination, but no inseparability of abandonment and realization, this is refuted, because power, fearlessness, and non-contamination are the ultimate abandonment and realization. Therefore, the key to establishing powers, etc., as the result of separation also lies here. If sentient beings did not inherently possess the nature of reality and it were newly created by the path, then the result of separation would be meaningless, and it would not become a unique quality of the ultimate Dharmakaya, because the Dharmakaya is not created by causes and conditions, it is unconditioned. In the 'Great Nirvana Sutra': 'Therefore, Nirvana has no cause.' And, 'Nirvana is not accomplished from a created cause, but only from the cause of clarity.' -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- །གསལ་
