Ah! Not generating even a tiny bit of shame and embarrassment, exceeding the limit and failing. The basis is, towards helpless sentient beings suffering, combining with a miserly mind, not giving Dharma or wealth, doing such a thing in body and speech, and being happy and satisfied with it, viewing it as a virtue, and not generating shame and embarrassment, exceeding the limit and failing. The basis is, when others ask for forgiveness, disturbing them with an angry mind, expressing it in body and speech, exceeding the limit without generating an antidote. The basis is, treating sentient beings, disturbing them with an angry mind, expressing it in body and speech, exceeding the limit without generating an antidote. The basis is, towards the Mahayana Dharma, combining with an ignorant mind, expressing it in body and speech, exceeding the limit without an antidote. Like this, not being tainted by the root downfalls mentioned, and thereby properly studying the three trainings of discipline. The extent of being well-guarded by the discipline of vows, Putowa said: "Not looking back at past desires, not obviously liking the future, not particularly clinging to the present, liking solitude, speech and thoughts completely pure, not despising oneself, patience and forbearance, diligence gathered by the five limbs, perfect rituals, perfect livelihood." Even if one thinks that one is not tainted by the forty-seven faults arising from the Pratimoksha vows and the subtle faults mentioned in the various distinctions, confessions, and details, if one does not possess these ten well-guarded qualities, one will not become someone who is well-guarded by the discipline of vows. So it is said. First, not looking back at past desires, even if one has abandoned the desires of a past Chakravartin king, one does not look back like one does not look back at external desires, abandoning grass, or at one's own desires, abandoning impure things, and thinking 'I abandoned this.' Now, if one can enjoy the great wealth of the family, such as the father's fields, one says that the conditions are complete and considers it a virtue, but one has not abandoned desires. Even if one pretends to abandon them once, it is like a little girl running away, it is difficult to obtain the Bodhisattva vows. Second, not obviously liking the future.

Is. Among the enjoyments of desirable objects, the greatest is the Paranirmita-vasavartin Deva realm, but even when dwelling therein, it is seen as entering a dense forest overgrown with thorns, filled with various great fears such as wild people and ferocious beasts, so there is no real joy. Since future lives have not been accomplished, there is no discernment of whether to be happy or unhappy about the future. If one believes in the gods of future lives, then no matter what virtuous roots one does, one dedicates them to that spiritual friend, and one cannot dedicate them to liberation at all, and this also happens, so some people say, "Not dedicating virtue to the Shed Lha (a local deity), only this is the most difficult." Potowa said, "How did your confused thoughts arise? You should meditate on the antidote to non-attachment to the gods." This is the habitual force that comes from the gods. Others do not have this habitual force, and it is not good. Faith is like fire burning. He also said, "If one obtains a desirable object in the morning, it may be blown away by the wind in the afternoon, or it may roll into the midst of a group of evil people." Or, on the day after taking it, even if one is about to die, one still hopes for future desirable objects, so one does not care about the three things of sin, suffering, and evil words, and one takes the lay vows, and only then can one accomplish it. Third, not being particularly attached to the present: Seeing the desirable objects taken by the five senses in this life as like vomit from food. Now, among the Kadampa people, few do not drink alcohol under the name of Kuntshar. Those who do not drink alcohol also rely on him for all difficult and easy things, as if they do not want to rely on the elder Sonrapa. If one acts in this way, then not to mention the vows of a Bodhisattva, one cannot even accomplish a good rebirth. In this life, too, all shame, Dharma, and fame are ruined by this, so one should see desirable objects as faults, and when one needs to use food and drink, one should enjoy them with the attitude of a leaky boat or a horse's blinders. Although one says, "I am a monk who is not defiled by the four root downfalls," it seems very difficult to turn away from the desirable objects of the three times. If one does not have this, then one will be considered a breaker of vows. But even if one has these three, if one still dwells in crowds and noise, and one's body and mind are not secluded, then the vows of a Bodhisattva cannot be determined. Fourth, delighting in solitude. Body away from crowds, mind
