Having gained certainty, during the stage of application, the wisdom arising from worldly meditation gives rise to the gradual abandonment of coarse conceptualizations through the four aspects of decisive discrimination. Upon attaining the path of seeing, one directly obtains non-conceptual wisdom. Having become accustomed to this in the ten grounds, the Vajra-like Samadhi abandons even the subtle habitual imprints of conceptualization without exception. In the Buddha-ground, one transforms into a state of non-conceptual nature. Thus it is said. As it is said, the venerable Spuilbuwa said: 'If one thinks of non-conceptualization.' This transcends the conceptualization of self-nature, the conceptualization of antidote, the conceptualization of essence, and the conceptualization of attainment. The first is non-virtuous attention, clinging to attachment, aversion, and so on. Its antidote is not to conceptualize the six perfections or the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment. The essence of all dharmas is the three doors of liberation, not to conceptualize the cause as without characteristics, not to desire the result, and not to conceptualize the essence as emptiness. Desiring to attain the three bodies and activities of the Buddha, as well as powers and fearlessness, etc., is also the conceptualization of attainment, so that too must be abandoned. In the commentary on the 'Non-Conceptual Dharani,' it says: 'Rocks of earth and stone, rocks of crystal, rocks of gold, rocks of various jewels.' Carving these, the example of taking or obtaining lapis lazuli from beyond these, shows that non-conceptualization transcends all four conceptualizations. Samsara has no beginning, end, or interval. If conceptualization is not ceased, there is no liberation. Therefore, transcending from the insurmountable, one gradually attains non-conceptualization. Now some say that throwing away the turban is enough, but this is a mistake. One cannot jump at once. The venerable one said that just as three blind men gradually cultivate their minds, warmth and so on arise in sequence. Third, summarizing these meanings: 'Through scripture and reasoning, all dharmas are unborn, having ascertained their lack of self-nature, one should meditate on non-conceptualization.' Thus it is said. That is to say, the two sections of scripture just mentioned, and the three types of reasoning such as existence, non-existence, arising, and cessation, these are the dharmas of aggregates, elements, and sources.

All of these, from the meaning of being unborn from the very beginning, having ascertained the non-existence of inherent existence with the wisdom arising from hearing and thinking, as previously shown, one should also cultivate non-conceptualization in wisdom itself. That is to say, first cultivate the greatness of actions and their results, and by believing in it, abandon the conceptualizations of sin and non-virtue. Then, by cultivating all of existence as suffering, one should obtain the desire to be liberated from it, and abandon the conceptualizations of existence in the three realms. Then, generate compassion for those beings who, doing what should not be done, experience various sufferings in existence due to the power of conceptualizations, and wishing to settle them in the Dharmakaya that has abandoned all conceptualizations, generate the Bodhicitta of resolve. Then, because one desires the fruit, one must enter the cause, therefore take the Bodhisattva vows, and train in the higher training of morality and mind, and in this way stabilize the aspects of skillful means. Then, in order to abandon all conceptualizations, having ascertained by scripture and reasoning that no object to be examined exists in suchness, and having ascertained in this way, even the wisdom of individual examination itself, in a self-pacifying manner, does not conceptualize anything at all, and by cultivating in this way, one can abandon the grasping of things as real. This is what Sharawa said. Putowa said: If one does not ascertain that the object to be examined is not established by reasoning, and merely cultivates non-conceptualization with words, one will not be liberated from the conceptualizations that grasp things as real. For example, when it is said that there is a demon in the sky, if one thinks that there is no demon, one will not be liberated from the fear of demons. Only by raising a lamp and searching, and knowing that there is none, will one truly be liberated from that fear. They thus explained the method of practicing the Mahayana Paramita. Secondly, explaining the fruit arising from that method, as the scripture says: By cultivating suchness in this way, gradually obtaining warmth and so on, one will obtain the Joyful and other bhumis, and Buddhahood and enlightenment will not be far off. That is to say, as shown above, because the aspects of skillful means are not incomplete, therefore non-conceptualization of the meaning of suchness
