Showing that both should not be abandoned by bondage, as it says: Wisdom without method, And methods without wisdom, Why are they said to be bondage? Therefore, both should not be abandoned. It is said. As shown before, if wisdom is not associated with method, and method is not associated with wisdom, what is the fault of separating the two? If one practices wisdom that is separated from methods such as the order of the three types of individuals, only practicing emptiness, then one is bound to the extreme of peace. If one becomes accustomed to methods that are separated from wisdom, that is, practicing the emptiness of selflessness in the Dharma of sentient beings, then one is bound to the extreme of existence. Why? As it says in the Vimalakirti Sutra: Wisdom without method binds to the Hearer Vehicle, and method without wisdom binds to samsara. Therefore, those who do not dwell on these two extremes and seek the meaning of Buddhahood through nirvana should not abandon both method and wisdom. One should practice method associated with wisdom, and wisdom associated with method. Thus, if method becomes stable, then it can also be shown by the wisdom that knows the two selflessnesses, which is practice. At first, like a person's feet, one relies on method first, then on wisdom, relies on wisdom, then on method, practicing alternately. Having become accustomed in this way, when one is proficient, one practices at the same time like a bird's wings. Even when practicing the various methods, one does not cling to the substance of the three circles. Even when practicing the emptiness of wisdom, one does not abandon compassion. The objects that are the focus of method are practiced without attention in both the state of equipoise and subsequent attainment. As Shara-wa said. Third, showing the difference between method and wisdom, as it says: What is wisdom and what is method? In order to dispel all doubts, The true difference between method and wisdom Should be clearly shown. Apart from the Perfection of Wisdom, All virtuous dharmas, such as the Perfection of Generosity, Are all taught as methods by the Victorious Ones. It is said. Thus, in the sutras and treatises, several objects of association are taught for the words method and wisdom, but in the meaning of this treatise, what is wisdom and what is method, in order to dispel doubts.

If not, in order to dispel those doubts, it should be clarified in this treatise what are the appropriate means and what is the correct distinction of wisdom. What is it? Abandoning the Prajnaparamita, apart from that, all those that are counted as virtuous dharmas such as the Dana Paramita, all of these are said to be means by the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, this is in that sense. From the implication of directly showing what is the appropriate means, it can be understood that the dharma other than those means, the Prajnaparamita, should be understood as the wisdom that is inseparable from those means. Sharawa said: Means and wisdom, we have no doubt about this, they are established separately. But in the Ornament for Clear Realization it says, "Non-discrimination is the skillful means", non-discrimination is said to be the means, and knowing the cause and effect of the conventional is said to be wisdom, and so on. Also, in the Compendium of the Great Vehicle it says that non-discrimination in the three spheres is the supreme skillful means. If you are confused about this, in order to dispel the confusion, clarifying the distinction between the two is abandoning the Prajnaparamita. The so-called white or erasing its words, or all virtuous dharmas such as the Dana Paramita other than that. As the Sutra of the Jewel in the Crown says in the example of drawing the image of the king, the mindstream of sentient beings is like a canvas, if it has all the aspects of means and wisdom like a painter, it will completely accomplish the three bodies of the Buddha like the image of the king. If any one is missing, it will not be complete. Therefore, it is necessary to cultivate emptiness with all the excellent aspects by means of completing all the parts of the six or ten perfections, the four ways of gathering disciples, the four immeasurables, the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, and so on. Therefore, it is said in this way. The means should also be gradually learned. The six perfections such as generosity also arise gradually. Generosity itself is first external objects, then internal objects. External objects are also first
