Then it is equivalent to breaking the precepts. Even if you have the above three, if you stay in gatherings and hustle and bustle, and your body and mind are not in a state of solitude, the vows of a Bodhisattva cannot be determined. Therefore, the fourth is to love solitude. One must train to keep the body away from hustle and bustle and the mind away from conceptual thoughts. Regarding keeping the body away from hustle and bustle, Lord Atiśa said: "Even now in India, there are many obstacles to living alone." Potowa also said: "Do not be less than four people, do not be more than ten people, only do what needs to be done." But no one listened. Because relying on gatherings seems correct for experience, do not do the solitude of relying on gatherings. Just as Phuchungpa said, even in the midst of a great war, one must strive to find solitude. If you do not abide in solitude, you cannot even protect the Pratimoksha vows of the Hinayana. This lies in abandoning the desires of the three times, and if you do not abandon desires, there is no opportunity. Keeping the mind away from conceptual thoughts, if even the Hinayana's attention must be abandoned, then it goes without saying that one must abandon the conceptual thoughts of ordinary people. The necessity of solitude lies in making the mind distant from the five desirable qualities. The fifth is the purification of speech and thoughts. The purification of speech is: the common four purifications such as idle talk, and all non-common things that cannot be transformed into the accumulation of benefiting others and omniscient wisdom must also be purified. The purification of thoughts is: the common eight evil thoughts such as thoughts of objects and relatives are purified, and the uncommon abandonment of the Hinayana's attention and clinging to reality, cultivating emptiness and great compassion as the core, and practicing the means to attain omniscient wisdom for the benefit of others. The sixth is not to despise oneself. That is, one cannot achieve omniscient wisdom for the benefit of others. In order to achieve it, Bodhisattvas must practice difficult practices, even giving away their heads and eyes, and in order to protect each offense, they must also give up their lives, and even if their limbs are cut into pieces, they must cultivate compassion for them on the basis of no discomfort, and in turn benefit them, etc., which must be practiced at all times. If you despise yourself because you think you cannot do it, then the Sutra

It is said in the 《ྡེ་རྒྱན་》: Because sentient beings become human beings, and in every immeasurable moment, they can attain perfect Bodhi, therefore, one should not accept discouragement. Like this, the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the past were not like that from the beginning. Like me, it is through gradual habituation that I have become like this. Therefore, I think that if I also try to get used to it, there is nothing that I cannot do. Now, all the actions of the Bodhisattvas who are on the ground are like an arrow shot out and returning to the eye, and there is not even a chance to generate discouragement. In order to benefit others and achieve omniscience, one must abandon all the desires of this life and not care about the joys and sorrows of this life. If you ask like this, you will be discouraged. At such a time of discouragement, if you abandon the Dharma, you should also think about what will happen to this life. If you don't work hard, troubles won't pity you either. Giving and so on will not say, "You don't seem to be able to do it, let us help you complete it." Buddhas and Bodhisattvas will not protect you either. If they protect, Avalokitesvara alone would have placed all beings in the state of liberation now. The reason for not being liberated is that they are not protected. If you work hard, you will be liberated sooner if you work hard earlier, and you will be liberated later if you work hard later. Looking at others is the same, giving up the Dharma, this life will not be happy. If you do according to the Dharma, it will get better and better, which is obvious. Think about the happiness you have enjoyed in past lives, all of which are false. The suffering you have experienced has been endured in vain and has no meaning. The suffering of practicing the Dharma now is not even a small part of the suffering of the past evil realms, and it is accompanied by great rewards, which can bring all suffering to an end. The happiness gained by abandoning the Dharma is no greater than the happiness of the past. If you give up the Dharma now, you will have to endure endless suffering in the future, so don't underestimate yourself. Now that you have not fully adapted to the Dharma, you should not underestimate yourself. If you are fully adapted, underestimating yourself will lead to discouragement, which is a great fault. If you underestimate yourself, you will not be able to achieve even a good destiny, and you will only get worse and worse.
