Just like painting, if one possesses all aspects of skillful means and wisdom, like a painter, then one will perfectly accomplish the three bodies of the Buddha, which are like the form of a king. If any aspect is missing, it will not be perfect. Therefore, one must meditate on emptiness, which possesses all supreme aspects, by fully possessing all elements of the six or ten perfections, the four ways of gathering disciples, the four immeasurables, the thirty-seven factors of enlightenment, and so on. Thus, it is taught. One should also learn the skillful means gradually. The six perfections, such as generosity, also arise gradually. Generosity itself begins with external objects, then internal ones. Even with external objects, one starts by offering vegetables and the like, so one should strive to practice this initially, as it is said. Then gradually expand the scope. By becoming accustomed to these, gradually giving up one's own body will become easier than discarding vegetables now, it is said. Fourth, the order of meditating on these skillful means and wisdom is: Through the power of habituating to skillful means, whoever meditates on wisdom will quickly attain enlightenment. Not by meditating on selflessness alone. It is said. That is, first, one trains the mind through the stages of the three types of individuals. Because one desires to attain the great fruit of enlightenment, one diligently cultivates the means from generosity to meditative concentration. Through the great force of habituation, just as the color on a cloth is bright or not depending on how it is tied, similarly, the wisdom of liberation is bright or not depending on the force of projection. As stated in the Ornament of the Sutras, one who possesses the nature arising from wisdom and power, the object of meditation, which is the perfection of wisdom that knows the meaning of the two selflessnesses, that one, by relying on those habitual skillful means, will go to the other shore of wisdom. Therefore, Jowo's lama, Awadhuti, said: Emptiness and compassion alone are to be realized by oneself. Emptiness is from clarity, one desires the union of essence. As it is said, the skillful means and wisdom of the path are inseparable, emptiness and compassion are indivisible, that is the wisdom of the Buddha. Emptiness is not other than compassion, and compassion is the essence of wisdom.

Thus, as the learned Nagarjuna said, the fruit of perfect enlightenment will be quickly attained. Other than that, if other methods are not practiced and stabilized, and only the selflessness is meditated upon, then that itself will not be realized. Even if it is realized, it will only be a part of the Hearers, and perfect enlightenment will not be attained. So it is said. Shara's words: That is also because by practicing the methods, relying on its great impetus, wisdom arises spontaneously. By relying on the methods, wisdom also practices emptiness, but it is necessary to not abandon the differences of conventional cause and effect, but to unite them in duality. Because by practicing the methods, they themselves can also reach the top of wisdom in a playful manner. Therefore, it is said: By the power of practicing the methods, oneself... etc., as it is said, relying on the methods to reach the top of wisdom, such as: Knowing birth, one knows destruction; knowing destruction, one knows impermanence; if one knows how to enter impermanence, then one can also know the Dharma. Or: The nature changing to another nature is never reasonable. Thus, even just practicing impermanence can reach the top of wisdom. If one practices karma and its effects, then by believing in karma and its effects, obstacles are eliminated and accumulations are gathered. Also: Whatever is born dependent, that is unborn, it has no nature of birth. Whatever depends on conditions, that is said to be emptiness. Whoever knows emptiness is the cautious one. Also: Whatever arises dependently, that is said to be emptiness, that is the imputation made as a cause, that is the Middle Way. Also: What is born dependently is unborn, thus, the truly knowing Victorious One said. Thus, one reaches the top of wisdom. In the Ratnavali it is said: These two, the main one is wisdom, its preliminary is faith. So it is said. If one practices all existence as suffering, then by being disgusted with it, in order to abandon its cause, by gradually training in the three trainings, one can reach the top of wisdom. If one practices love and compassion, then by its greatness, wisdom will also arise. The greatness of the mind of enlightenment will also give rise to it. Enlightenment is the nature of space, and space also has no

Non-existence. Whoever wishes to realize that, is called a Bodhisattva. In this way, wishing to obtain a Bodhi that is established as a substance is not the characteristic of Bodhicitta. The characteristic of Bodhi is that the Dharmakaya, which is naturally completely pure, is desired to be manifested as it is, through being free from all adventitious stains, which is the characteristic of Bodhicitta. By that, one will also go to the perfection of wisdom. The five, such as generosity, will also go to the other shore, so one will also go to the perfection of wisdom. Therefore, Jowo (Atisha) made method the main thing. Geshe Tonpa also did the same, so Jowo's teacher, the one who cut flesh from his thigh, he must have seen what the current situation is, he said. We pray to realize the view, that just wisdom is enough, that nothing else is needed, it seems that we will only come to the view of non-existence. But from any Dharma, it is not said that just wisdom is enough. Only the Mother Sutra (Prajnaparamita Sutra) is considered the most profound. From Puto Ba's mouth: Up to the three knowledges (knowing one, knowing two, knowing three), the profound part is more. Below the four practices (generosity, ethics, patience, diligence), like a skilled eater, alternating between tsampa and vegetables, like that, method and wisdom must be practiced together. In the precious garland of the teacher, the meaning of Madhyamaka is shown by pulling it out with a wet tongue. In short, holding on to the view of non-existence, saying that there is no result of karma, is non-virtue, the cause of falling into bad destinies, it is called a wrong view. In short, holding on to the view of existence, saying that there is a result of karma, is virtue, the corresponding cause of good destinies, it is called a right view. So it is said. In the Sixty Stanzas of Reasoning, it is also said that the source of all faults is holding on to the view of non-existence. As previously shown, to seek that, it is said that at first, everything must be shown to exist. Only the Root Verses on the Middle Way is the most profound, as the Victorious One said: The view of emptiness will certainly eliminate all arising. Those who hold the view of emptiness, there is no cure for them. And: If one views emptiness incorrectly, those with little wisdom will be destroyed. Arya Deva also said: First, turn away from non-virtue, in the middle, turn away from self, finally, turn away from everything, such knowledge is endowed with reason.
