Thus he spoke. Is it only Chandrakirti (Tibetan: Zla-ba Grags-pa) who is the source of profound emptiness? As before, if all perfections are not complete, wisdom itself will not arise and will degenerate, he said. In the presence of the Bhagavan, is it only Manjushri (Tibetan: 'Jam-dpal) who understands the profound meaning? Moreover, even offering to the Buddha is not satisfying, and he is diligent in all other methods as well. Therefore, although it does not seem that wisdom arises now by relying on the completion of all methods, it is necessary to have such a view when accomplishing omniscience, and having made a firm decision, now is the time to sow the seeds, he said. Fifth, explaining the discipline of wisdom: Explaining the selflessness of persons and briefly indicating the selflessness of phenomena by identifying wisdom and showing the order of meditation; Explaining in detail how to meditate on it; And summarizing the meaning, these three. First, explaining the selflessness of persons and briefly indicating the selflessness of phenomena by identifying wisdom and showing the order of meditation: The aggregates, elements, and sources, Having realized their unborn nature, The knowledge of emptiness of self-nature, Is fully explained as wisdom. Thus he spoke. Then, because of the power of familiarizing with the means, if one wonders what that wisdom of meditation itself is, first, according to the principle of "one, cause, and eater," one meditates on the antidote to grasping at a single self, which is the five aggregates of form, feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness; Because of the meaning of accumulation, it is an aggregate, therefore it is not singular; As an antidote to grasping at the self in the manner of a cause, one meditates on the six elements of form, sound, smell, taste, touch, and phenomena, the six elements of eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, and mind, the six elements of consciousness of the senses such as eye consciousness, and the eighteen elements; Because of the meaning of seed, it is called an element, hence there is no self of the agent; As an antidote to grasping at the self as an eater, one meditates on the six internal sources of eye, etc., the six external sources of form, etc., and the twelve sources; Because mind and mental factors arise and expand from the meeting of object and faculty, one meditates on the selflessness of the person, which is merely arising and expanding, and thus there is no self of the eater. In this way, the self of the person does not exist even conventionally, like the horn of a rabbit.
