If a gathering reaches four or more people, it is called the Sangha. Relying on the Sangha, many benefits and happiness for sentient beings can arise. Even if our own state is just without error, it can benefit those around us. Therefore, keep your own state without error. Whether one or two people surround you, try to avoid inappropriate things. Geshe Tonpa once said to all his fellow practitioners: "Do not build new residences and new monks. If you can maintain the old ones, maintain them as much as possible." Just as he said. From now on, purely new people rarely appear. If the old ones are maintained without sectarianism, even if they become old year by year, they will definitely have great benefits and great abilities. Building new residences is mostly the source of disputes. When you feel like you are helping each other, once you have similar abilities, you are likely to lose your position later. Therefore, not harming others and benefiting others is very important. Second, to connect the training of discipline and higher mind with its greatness, that is: Therefore, pure and complete Bodhi, the vows of the Bodhisattva's vows, diligent practice can perfect Bodhi, and the Sangha can be completely perfected. So it is said. To this, Putowa said: Even if there is only higher discipline, without supernatural powers, one cannot quickly complete one's own accumulation of merit and cannot benefit sentient beings, so supernatural powers are needed. To obtain supernatural powers, one must also practice calm abiding. To practice calm abiding, one must abide in its limbs and the Sangha. Therefore, connecting the training of higher discipline and higher mind, that is, "Therefore," etc. Although it is said "Therefore," it seems that it will become one action. The vows, it seems that that action will become an action of the vows, it was said before. Later, this verse is both a connection and shows the greatness of the former. If you study the three trainings of discipline well, then the respect for these three will become greater and greater, so it is also said "Therefore." Just as it was said just now, if you study the three trainings of discipline well, then for the study of the three disciplines of vows, virtue, collecting Dharma, and benefiting sentient beings, the respect will become greater and greater, therefore, becoming the cause of purity, or the nature, self, or way of pure and complete Bodhi.

Therefore, for the precepts that have become the vows of the Bodhisattva, such as the precepts of discipline, etc., if one strives as previously shown, the accumulation of the fruition of perfect Bodhi will be completely perfected. Thus it is said. The Abbot Palden said: If one trains well in these three disciplines, one will attain perfect Bodhi through the complete purification of the precepts, therefore it is the cause. Secondly, explaining the higher concentration or the training of the mind, there are two aspects: the greatness of the fruit of clairvoyance, and the way to train in the cause, the training of the mind. Firstly, Sharawa said: In order to perfect one's own accumulations, to accomplish the benefit of sentient beings, and to eliminate obstacles and hindrances for oneself and others, all require clairvoyance. The first two are covered by scriptures, and the last comes from pith instructions. The first, the greatness of perfecting one's own accumulations, is: The accumulation of merit and wisdom, is completely perfected, the cause is all the Buddhas, regard it as generating clairvoyance. Thus it is said. That is to say, if all the accumulations to be perfected are summarized, they can be summarized into the two accumulations of merit and wisdom. When will these two accumulations be perfected? The former can also be transformed, but the cause that can quickly perfect these two accumulations is all the Buddhas of the ten directions and three times, who unanimously believe that clairvoyance should be generated in the continuum of that Bodhisattva. Regarding this, Sharawa said: Birth and speech, mind, virtue and non-virtue arise, their place and arising are manifest, knowing all practitioners, extremely good discriminators, are the power of obtaining unobstructed stability. As stated in the Ornament of Sutras, if one possesses all clairvoyance, then perfecting the accumulations is effortless, like having it in the palm of one's hand. Merely remembering one rebirth can perfect the accumulations, which is extremely excellent, because one can remember the dwelling places of previous lives. If one possesses this clairvoyance, then generosity arises naturally, as stated in the Jataka tale of "Tsampa Porridge Wine", the king at that time always extended his hand to give alms, making small reverence to the Sugata, the fruit of wealth will not be small, I have heard before, Tsampa porridge is rough and without salt, the fruit

Behold this great wealth! Various vehicles, horses, and majestic elephants, this great army of mine and this vast land, possessing much wealth and glory, and a vast harem of consorts. Behold this delicious warm food! He recited these two verses frequently. When others could not ask him why he recited them, that fearless and courageous consort asked him. He said, "In my previous life, when I was a laborer in this city, I respectfully offered a portion of warm, unsalted food to four mendicant monks. Therefore, I am now able to possess the wealth of this kingdom, just like waking up from a dream, I remembered the events of my previous life, and that is why I recited those words." Therefore, one should still respectfully practice generosity. Good omens clearly foreshadow the path of goodness, and I must still rely on it. Worldly people give after hearing about the results of generosity, but since I have personally experienced it, why should I not give?" he said. That consort also said that in her previous life, when she was a maidservant, she respectfully offered a portion of food to a noble being who could cut off afflictions. Therefore, she is now your consort, just like remembering what she did in her childhood. She said that even insignificant items, if offered in times of poverty to fields of merit such as the Sangha or Arhats, can, through pure intention, bring about great results, becoming a monarch with an army of four divisions, ruling over a vast territory reaching the ocean. The story of the seven precious jewels does not appear. Similarly, discipline will also arise naturally, as it says in the Jataka of the mute youth. That prince recalled that he had ruled the kingdom for six years in the past, and therefore fell into hell for sixty kalpas. Now he was afraid of losing the throne, so he did not want to speak when he should have spoken, nor did he want to walk when he should have walked. He was taken to a doctor, who said that there was nothing wrong with his senses, and that he would naturally speak and walk when the time came. To test him, they sent an executioner to kill him, threatening him with murder, and he spoke a word on the road. The prince said that he could speak, but when he returned home, he refused to speak again. People then realized that he could speak, so they scolded him as they pleased.
