Should abide in all things. That is to say, Sharawa said: It is also important for us to make vows and pray like this, but even so, the color of the body has not turned white yet. Therefore, the teacher also said: May beings, by merely seeing, remembering, and hearing my name, obtain peace, undisturbed tranquility, certainty of perfect enlightenment, and the five clairvoyances that follow them in all lifetimes. As it is said, all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas pray in this way, and their accomplishments are immeasurable. Therefore, strive to become the cause of what they can tame, and make prayers. Never be satisfied with hearing the names of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. If you read many Sutras, you will hear many of their names. If you read these, they are also the remnants of the Kadampa. Shangba Rinpoche blessed all the paintings of Chola Chenpo, and wrote all those names from the bottom up. They also did the same on the wall paintings of dilapidated temples, but no one does that nowadays. As Potowa said, pray and accomplish like the previous Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, and merely hearing their names can lead to non-retrogression. There are many such examples, and I have never heard their names before, so also complain about your karma. Also, regret missing the opportunity by only hearing these. In general, merely hearing the name can lead to non-retrogression, etc., and many benefits are also mentioned. It is also said that the exhaustion of merit will lead to the inability to generate merit. As it is said in the Sutra of the Birth of the Tathagata, etc.: Even if you put a spark of fire into a pile of grass and trees the size of Mount Sumeru, the spark will gradually burn everything, leaving not even ashes. Similarly, even a small root of virtue directed towards the Tathagata can burn away the grass and trees of karma and afflictions the size of Mount Sumeru, and ultimately attain Buddhahood. Just as eating a small diamond jewel cannot be digested and will be excreted, so is the root of virtue directed towards the Buddha.

Even if a small amount of virtue is accumulated, the causes for its exhaustion will never arise, and ultimately it will become the cause for omniscience. In the "Sutra of Inexhaustible Intelligence," it is also said that just as a drop of water falling into the great ocean, the virtue dedicated to perfect enlightenment will not be exhausted in the bardo until it reaches the essence of enlightenment. Therefore, the virtue directed towards the Tathagata should also be accumulated in various ways. It is said that even if one accumulates in this way and does not dedicate it, or dedicates it wrongly, one will eventually attain it, just like the example of a seed, as stated in the "Lotus Sutra of the Wonderful Law." In general, it is said that whatever roots of virtue are accumulated, one should immediately remember them and dedicate them to great enlightenment. Even just hearing the name purifies the field, so one's body, speech, and mind must be pure. On top of abandoning the ten non-virtuous actions, as taught from the time of abandoning actions without fruit, one must also abandon those actions of body and speech that do not transform into benefiting others and the accumulation of the wisdom of omniscience, and at all times, one must purify oneself by not being defiled by those faults. Similarly, one must also abandon the actions of the mind, such as afflictions, non-virtuous thoughts, and seeking one's own liberation without regard for sentient beings, and even when practicing great enlightenment, one must abandon all attachment to the three spheres. In short, one must abandon everything that, even with compassion, clings to inherent existence, and everything that, even when meditating on emptiness, is not grasped by compassion, and does not possess the essence of compassion, thereby purifying oneself. In short, one should not engage in any non-virtuous actions of the three doors. Just as the noble Manjushri promised before the Tathagata King of Dragon Sound, one should also make a promise and vow before the Buddhas of the ten directions. To this, Sharawa said: If there is no place, this promise that one makes to the Buddhas of the ten directions is also clearly recorded in the scriptures of the noble ones. This situation arises here: if there is a place, it is the custom of the noble ones; if there is no place, it is the custom of the acharya, which is different. Just as the pratimoksha vows have different rituals for different schools, and therefore the boundaries for renunciation and protection are different, these two customs also have different boundaries for protection and
