This of the Śīla (Tibetan) precepts, the Dharma-saṃgraha (Tibetan), and the three vows of benefiting sentient beings (Tibetan), one rejoices in oneself. How all the Buddhas of the three times have trained in these three vows, I shall also train accordingly. Having trained in this way, would you be pleased to attain the complete fruit of enlightenment as quickly as possible? If not, then how would you be pleased? First, placing all sentient beings on the ground of Buddhahood, and then wishing to become a Buddha oneself, even if there is only one sentient being left, for the sake of that one sentient being's own benefit. Would you be pleased to remain in samsara until the very end of your future lives? That's what you should do. Sharawa said: The Bodhisattva with great aspirations wants to become a Buddha first, and then benefit others through his activities. Unlike this, not leaving a single sentient being behind, placing them in liberation with one's own hands, and then becoming a Buddha oneself later. Among these two. The Blessed One Mañjuśrī approves of the latter, which is self-benefit. He made such a promise. In this sutra, it is said that the Tathāgata Samantadarśin will attain Buddhahood alone. At that time, looking at the ten directions of the world, all the Buddhas in the ten directions had generated the mind of enlightenment and were placed in practice by him, only when it was slightly insufficient. The sutra does not say that not a single sentient being was left out. The speaker said that in the commentary on the throne, these two are reversed, please see. It is said that the Blessed One Śākyamuni Buddha was the former. The Blessed One Maitreya Buddha was forty-two kalpas later in generating the mind of enlightenment. We should train our minds and take vows like the latter. Otherwise, there will be partiality towards sentient beings. Moreover, one has no ability at all, but says that one will benefit sentient beings, this is not true. The ability to benefit sentient beings is perfected through diligence. Until not a single sentient being is left out and placed in liberation, one should not abide in samsara but benefit sentient beings, one should understand and vow in this way. Other Mahayana sutras also say, all.

While being aware, the conduct of Bodhisattvas is never interrupted, such as Mañjuśrī and Samantabhadra, etc. Afterwards, even if the true limit is realized, if it is known that there is no difference for sentient beings, then realization is also possible. All of this requires knowing how to do it after obtaining the great accumulation path. Afterwards, one will gradually understand how to do it. For the benefit of sentient beings, even if one remains in samsara in that way, there is no need to be afraid because happiness is long-lasting. For suffering, even if the time is short, it is difficult to endure, let alone long. Without suffering and with happiness, what harm is there even if the time is endless? It is said to be like that. Thus, what activities should a Bodhisattva do while dwelling in samsara for the benefit of others? One should completely purify one's own immeasurable and inconceivable Buddha-fields. That is to say, Sharawa said: "Purifying immeasurable and inconceivable realms" means purifying all containers and contents. This is the definitive meaning. The Blessed One Shakyamuni purified the Saha world, Amitabha purified Sukhavati, and Akshobhya purified Abhirati. These are all for the sake of those who are inclined towards inferiority. The method of purification is as stated in the Mother Sutra, abiding in the six perfections, and making aspirations to purify all containers and contents. That is to say, first accomplish the enlightenment of sentient beings, then gradually generate bodhicitta, and apply it to its training and purify it, then the container will naturally become pure. The Madhyamikas who follow the Sravaka and Sutra schools consider the container to be external. The Mind-Only school and the Yoga-practicing Madhyamikas consider the container to be a manifestation of the mind, so their views differ. However, all agree that the container is accomplished by common karma. Thus, purifying all containers and contents, here there is no need for effort, merely by holding its name, all sentient beings will gradually abandon all faults, and gradually perfect all qualities such as the six superknowledges, and all will become non-returning ones. And that name is not carved on the door, but pervades all the ten directions of the world.
