It was said with the lineage and collection: One night, a monk appeared in a dream eating human flesh. Wondering who this monk was who was harming the Buddha's teachings, before fully understanding, (the monk) said, "You eat this too." Atisha also had such a dream, and from that night on, he attained great samadhi. Atisha did not think it was the blessing of Dombi Heruka. Later, a yogi asked Dombi Heruka for instructions. Dombi Heruka said, "I have no karmic connection with you. In the central region, there is a monk whom I have blessed. Go and ask him. The sign of my blessing on him is that he had a dream with clear signs and attained samadhi." So the yogi offered a mandala to Atisha every day for four or five days, praying for teachings. One day, Atisha gathered all those who wore similar clothes and had common beliefs, and those outside performed tsok offerings, saying they had received great kindness. Atisha asked the reason, and the yogi told the previous story, saying that the mandala of Heruka had appeared. To this, Sharawa said, "The so-called appearance of the Heruka mandala does not mean the appearance of a wrathful deity with three faces and six arms, baring its teeth. It means realizing the true nature of all phenomena." Therefore, Atisha attained the siddhi of Mahamudra. Atisha then knew that it was the blessing of his previous guru, Dombi Heruka. Later, when Atisha wondered when he would meet that yogi, (Dombi Heruka) said, "I am always here," but (that yogi) came to Tibet and never appeared. Did he go to another place, or was it because of language differences? In short, for the teachings of Shakyamuni Buddha, all the tricks that can create miracles or amaze in this world, without missing a single word, were all possessed by the great Kusalī. The Blessed One entrusted the teachings to the great Arya Kashyapa, who passed them on to Arya Ananda. In this way, all the tricks, without missing a single word, were all possessed. Master Asanga pleased Maitreya Buddha and received the teachings, which he passed on to his younger brother Vasubandhu, who passed them on to the teacher Sthiramati. In this way, not a single word

also possesses them completely. All the instructions passed down from masters like Acharya Nagarjuna, Buddha Yeshe Zhab, the Third Throat, and King Indrabodhi, who attained the great seal siddhi, are also possessed without missing a single letter. It is said that all of that relies on the Guhyasamaja Tantra. The small Kusali possesses those teachings without missing a single letter. Serlingpa (Suvarnadvipi) possesses those teachings without missing a single letter. Jowo (Atisha), Jnana Shri Mitra, Ratnakirti, and Shantipa heard it from him. The three also heard it from Shantipa, but Jowo grasped it in Serlingpa's heart. Moreover, pleased by his practice, he said, "You will come without reciting this," and then bestowed it upon him. It is said that there are also instances where "Ah Ah La La" is repeated twice or three times. It is said that Jowo possesses those teachings without missing a single letter. Sharawa Chenpo said that. Like that, although there are many good lamas, it is useless if one does not have qualities oneself, just like Jowo Glog Sang (a person's name) asked questions about the Lamp for the Path, heard about seventy things, but said he did not understand even one. Jowo is not like that. The second is the quality of being learned. In detail, as it appears in the great qualities of Jowo written by Geshe Tonpa, he became famous in the world for being skilled in the five sciences, and became the teacher of almost all the people of Jambudvipa. Among the five sciences, in the field of grammar, he was proficient in many internal and external scriptures such as the Light of Words written by the Brahmin Norlha, and the Chandra Vyakarana written by Acharya Chandragomin. In the field of logic, he was proficient in many systems of logic of outsiders, such as the view of logic written by the sage Akshapada, and the Pramana Sutra and Pramana Varttika written by Acharya Dignaga and Dharmakirti. In the field of medicine, he was proficient in many treatises written by sages, such as the Lekthob written by the sage Lekthob, and those spoken by the Buddha after being asked by Jivaka, and those written by Acharya Nagarjuna and Ashvaghosa. In the field of crafts, the Meharala written by the great god Shankara.
