Furthermore, there are various things such as fourteen or twenty-three. Even if they abide in the nature of the eight or six consciousnesses, none of them are truly established as one. Moreover, each of them arises in dependence on various different objects, and because the ways of arising are diverse, they cannot become one. Analyzing from the perspective of time, the states of feeling, etc., in the three times of past, future, and present are all different. And each of these states, from year and month to moment, are different in sequence, and none of them are truly established as one except for nominal designation. If one thinks that a moment can be established as one: "How can a moment have an end? Likewise, the beginning and middle should also be examined. Thus, because of the three natures of a moment, the world does not exist for a moment. If the beginning, middle, and end are thought of as being like a moment, the beginning, middle, and end." In this way, it cannot be established as one. Therefore, since many also cannot be established, the nature of one and many is invisible, so it can be determined to be without self-nature. Thus, the previous commitment is fulfilled, and what these reasonings refute are the aggregates, etc. Putowa sometimes said that these three reasonings are dependent origination, the diamond sliver, and freedom from one and many. Geshe Tonpa's guru, Jowo Wangchuk Shyönnu, quoted from Aryadeva's *Madhyamika*: "One mistakes a rope for a snake; seeing the rope, there is no meaning. If one sees its parts, it is also like a snake; this consciousness is a delusion." He said that by applying this reasoning to anything, through the reasoning of freedom from one and many, even those who are illiterate can understand emptiness well. In the tent, he invited the karma of Sonam and Kha and La. When explaining the merit, he asked: "Isn't this thing you call a tent made up of many parts? If these parts are separated, can a tent still be established?" After thinking for a moment, they understood and admitted it. He then asked: "Isn't a part made up of many threads? If the threads are separated, can a part still be established?" He then asked: "Isn't a thread made up of fine strands of hair? If the hairs are separated, can a thread still be established?" He even divided the hair into head, root, and middle parts to ask questions. After thinking for a moment, they understood and admitted it. They thought that the parts were the tent.

. Seeing hope is meaningless. Seeing its parts, even for it, recognizing it like a tent is a mistake. Thus, combine them. In houses and other places, invite the activities of merit and La. When explaining the offering, isn't what you call a house something that is not assembled from stones and wood? If you separate the stones and wood, can a house be established? Eventually, even the dust is divided into parts. It is promised: stone and wood are held as a house, seeing stone and wood is meaningless. Seeing its parts, even for it, recognizing it like a house is a mistake. Thus, combine them. It is said that way. Like this, only a part of establishing the selflessness of phenomena with three reasons is mentioned. Second, the way to summarize and show here what is widely explained in the great Madhyamaka treatises is: The reasoning of seventy emptinesses, and also from the root of Madhyamaka, etc., the emptiness of the nature of things is established and explained. Because this treatise becomes numerous, therefore it is not explained here, only in the established tenets, it is well explained for the sake of practice. It is said like that. That is, as mentioned before, etc., the reasoning is widely explained in the reasoning of seventy emptinesses and the root wisdom of Madhyamaka, etc., written by the teacher Nagarjuna himself, and in the treatises of the previous teachers who determined the meaning of these, the emptiness of the nature of things such as aggregates is established, that is, the way that does not exceed this is widely explained. However, all of these are not explained here. What is the reason? Because it is feared that this treatise will become too numerous, therefore, this treatise does not fully explain all of these, but the way that each of its own reasons can establish the nature of things as emptiness, and other reasons cannot harm the tenets of the Mahayana Madhyamaka school is just like this, it is only explained like this. So, for what purpose is it explained? It is not to make one's own school strong, nor to refute the schools of others, but to be a remedy for reversing the clinging to reality in one's own continuum, it is well explained for the sake of practice. That is to say, from the mouth of Spilbuwa: Emptiness seven
