As it is said, "The increase of power and wealth is like the bursting forth of an ocean of suffering," it is also said in the Letter to a Friend: How painful it is to have much wealth! Those with few desires are not like that. As many heads as the great Nagas have, so much suffering arises from them. As it is said, therefore, Sharawa said: If power is small, it is small, everything falls into one's own hands; if power is great, it is great, but if one does not know how to wield power, one will fall. The fire of hatred burns people alive. In short, the five aggregates of grasping are said to be suffering. Thus, when all the sufferings of birth and so on have been experienced, finally comes the eighth suffering, which is the suffering of death. Born alone from the midst of perfection, clinging to those things, one cannot avoid death, and the moment of helpless death, not knowing where one will go, will surely come. Dingmawa said: Few die happily, and there will be suffering like falling into an abyss with nothing to grasp. Thus, even if one is born as a human, there is no happiness in one's own nature. Therefore, even if one is born as a god, there are immeasurable sufferings such as death and falling. All the gods of the desire realm have the suffering of the signs of death: the color of the body becomes ugly, one does not love one's throne, the flower garlands wither, the clothes become stained, and sweat appears on the body that was not there before, which is called the five signs of death and falling from the high realms. The gods who dwell in the heavenly realms experience these, just like the signs that foretell the death of people on earth. As it is said in the Letter to a Friend, the gods must personally experience their respective seven days. To this, Sharawa said: The higher one goes, the longer the signs of death appear, and the greater the suffering. At that time, knowing that one will mostly fall into the lower realms after death, the inner suffering is like the heart about to burst. Seeing one's own goddess and retinue being taken away by other gods, the suffering of jealousy is also immeasurable. Compared to mindfulness, at the time of death, being afflicted by feverish illness is sixteen times greater than the suffering of hell beings.

It is said that it is also mind-born. All the gods of the desire realm, such as the Four Great Kings and the Thirty-three Gods, have immeasurable suffering from internal strife among the gods and from fighting with the Asuras. The gods also have immeasurable suffering from the powerful oppressing the weak due to their power and glory. The so-called poor gods, although counted in the realm of the gods, are said to be similar to pretas and have no difference. Even if they are born in the upper realms, most of them fall into the lower realms. Even if they do not fall into the lower realms, they fall into the inferior desire realm. If they manifest the idea of arising and cultivate the samadhi of meditation and the formless, all beings born in the upper two realms, knowing that they must take rebirth at the time of death, and thus renounce liberation, will fall into the uninterrupted hell. All beings in the peak of existence, because they cultivate with the idea of arising, will only fall into the uninterrupted hell. It is said. Thus, wherever they are born, there is no happiness. Even if there is something that seems slightly happy, as the Ornament of the Sutras says: 'The joy of existence is inverted, the happiness is moving.' In this way, suffering is inverted into happiness, and moving, that is, impermanent, is a deceptive dharma. Shara-wa said: 'In the past, I was born as a god in the peak of existence and lived for eighty-four thousand great kalpas, but I was deceived countless times. Then I was born in the lower realms again. Even if I am born there now, I will still be deceived.' The Abhidharma only speaks of eighty thousand. In the Sutra of Expanding Wisdom, it speaks of eighty-four thousand and forty-three thousand, etc., adding a thousand to each of the four formless realms. In the three formless realms and above the second dhyana, there are no lords and servants, and all are equally good. Even in those places, they have been born and deceived, and there is no end in sight, and they will still be deceived. From the first dhyana to all six gods of the desire realm, there are lords and servants. Even the leaders of those gods have been born and deceived countless times. Now they are still being deceived, and they should meditate on them one by one. The wheel-turning king, the king of the realm, the ministers, the merchants, the rich, and the main patrons are also deceived in the same way as the previous deceptions. Or they are born as great Brahmin priests, or they rely on the powerful power of the secret mantras of the outsiders.
