From anger comes bad complexion, not asking the wise is foolishness. As it is said, experience has a common cause, and when the cause of doing is common, at that time also, from the power of previous habit, from delighting in killing to delighting in holding wrong views, it is said to arise. What is the fruit of power? Where the world of the vessel is rough, the crops do not ripen, there is mud and filth, and in bad places, etc., nine bad things arise. Thus, when the cause is without virtue and the fruit without happiness, it is called the fruit of separation from the fruit of non-virtuous actions, and when the meaning of all those appears directly, it is called the fruit of the person's doing, so said Spilbuwa. Believing in all those also, as Sharawa said, once something like certainty arises, it is of no benefit, always meditating as shown before, in four ways, even the smallest of sins is not especially killed, therefore there is belief in cause and effect. Without stopping at just that, one should meditate without distraction. As soon as one is slightly distracted, one becomes lax. By meditating in this way, abandoning sin also, from the mouth of Sharawa, in the letter of the guru, "Not constant and attached and without opponent, virtues mainly arising from the base, virtuous and non-virtuous five great, therefore strive to practice virtue." As it is said, first the great ones must be abandoned. Abandoning the great ones does not especially kill the small ones. In the end, all the small ones must also be abandoned. If the small ones are always especially killed, then the same becomes great by always doing, etc., as it seems that all the great ones have gathered in us now. Even if all others are not complete, even if one always especially kills the smallest offense, it is said to be great, as we all are as if we have already been born in hell by especially killing one fish. Even with the practice of discipline and asking more, by refuting all the practices of the old elders, we all become greedy for fish. Every day, even to oneself, there are twenty or thirty offenses of fish. It is not in relying on a special field or always doing. Even if it is done only once, if afflictions, attachment, and aversion arise strongly, there is attachment.

It is called the Great Earth, and now is the time when all afflictions arise only in a violent manner. Even if the other three are not complete, it is said that all actions without antidotes are great, because it is difficult to overcome sins even with the four powers of the antidote. Even if everything else is incomplete, it is said that all those who rely on the field of merit, the Three Jewels or special individuals such as Bodhisattvas, and the field of the chief, such as parents, and those who possess both, such as Khenpos and Acharyas, are great, because it seems that we have nothing worse than those objects of accumulating sins. In the field of merit, both good and bad become great, as stated in the Sutras, such as generating the power of faith, the difference in transformation from a layperson to a Bodhisattva transformed by the miraculous power of the Tathagata is the same. Applying non-virtue to virtue is also the same; even if one prostrates to the deities every day, doing so constantly will become great. All virtues aroused by strong faith also become great. All antidotal virtues that have not been overcome by sins also become great. All virtues that rely on the aforementioned fields also become great. Similarly, meditating on karma and its results must rely solely on the words of the Tathagata, because only the All-Knowing One knows all the greatness of karma and its results, and others cannot know it, just like the story of the householder Palakirti. That is, if that householder were to become ordained, the reason for obtaining the result in that life is that the householder, countless eons ago, was born as a pig, and at that time he ate the ditch and rubbed the yellow dust off the stupa with his snout, only the Bhagavan knew about this merit, but all the great Shravakas could not know it even if they examined it with whatever power of clairvoyance they had. Therefore, it is important to be guided by the Guru's instructions, to strive to study the Sutras, and to always think about karma and its results. If certainty arises about this, even if some minor problems arise, it will be like shaking the foundation of everything else. Atisha and Geshe Dromtönpa are called greatly kind because they also placed great importance on karma and its results. In Kham (the area around present-day Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province) and other places, it is different from other places.
