Having compassion for sentient beings who experience various sufferings in samsara due to the power of discrimination, and generating the mind of enlightenment, vowing to liberate them from all discriminations and attain the Dharmakaya. Then, because one must enter the cause to obtain the result, one takes the Bodhisattva vows and studies the higher discipline and the discipline of the mind. In this way, the aspects of skillful means are stabilized. Then, in order to abandon all discriminations, it is determined by scripture and reasoning that in reality there is nothing to be examined. In this way, through determination, with individual wisdom, in a self-pacifying manner, one does not discriminate about anything, and only then can one abandon the clinging to things. This is what Sharawa said. Putowa said: If one does not determine that the object to be examined does not exist through reasoning, and only verbally meditates on non-discrimination, one will not be liberated from the discrimination of clinging to things. For example, when it is said that there is a demon in the sky, if one thinks that there is no demon, one will not be liberated from the fear of demons. Only by raising a lamp and searching, and knowing that there is no demon, will one be liberated from that fear. They explained the method of practicing the Great Vehicle Paramita. Second, explaining the result arising from that method: Having meditated on that suchness in that way, gradually obtaining warmth and so on, obtaining great joy and so on, Buddhahood and enlightenment will not be long in coming. Thus it is said. That is to say, as stated above, because the aspects of skillful means are not incomplete, therefore, having meditated on the non-discrimination of the meaning of that suchness, first the small, medium, and large three paths of accumulation arise, and at that time, the Bodhisattva accumulates the boundless merit and wisdom, and because the mind is very certain about the Dharma, therefore, he realizes the aspect of meaning that has the cause of expression. As it is said in the Ornament of the Sutras, meditation exists, but what arises from meditation does not exist, therefore it is the nature of hearing and thinking. Mainly accumulating the merit of accumulation, gradually passing through the three paths of accumulation, then the path of seeing, the non-discriminating

As a precursor to the fire of wisdom, the first worldly meditative-born wisdom of the heat stage of the path of joining arises, and so forth. Then, the root of virtue reaches the peak of agitation, then patience with the great Dharma, then worldly Dharma, because it is the most excellent of all these, gradually attained, and in those stages, by merely stating it, one understands the meaning, and there one truly abides in mere mind. Then, the nature and separation of the two realms of reality will become directly realized. Having understood with wisdom that there is nothing other than mind, then one also realizes that mind itself does not exist. As it is said, having obtained the wisdom born from worldly meditation, holding heat, peak, and forbearance as three is without inherent existence, and through realizing that holding the Dharma as supreme is also without inherent existence, one primarily accumulates the collection of wisdom. From obtaining those four that are in accordance with the definitive aspect, the wise, having realized that the two do not exist, abide in the realm of Dharma that does not possess them. In this way, the first ground of a Bodhisattva, the Joyful One, is attained, the stage of the path of seeing. At the time of attaining it, because one has obtained the wisdom born from meditation that transcends the world, one realizes the meaning of the realm of Dharma pervading everywhere, and so forth. Having completely exhausted all the afflictions to be abandoned by seeing, in order to abandon the obscurations of knowledge, one diligently engages in meditation. As it is, having attained the first ground, having abandoned the aspects of the afflictions and obscurations to be abandoned by seeing, then the second ground, the Immaculate, the third, the Luminous, the fourth, the Radiant, the fifth, the Very Difficult to Train, the sixth, the Manifest, the seventh, the Gone Afar, the eighth, the Immovable, the ninth, the Good Intelligence, the tenth, the Cloud of Dharma, the nine grounds of the path of meditation are also gradually attained. In those stages, from familiarizing oneself with the meaning previously realized on the path of seeing, the wise, with the power of non-conceptual wisdom, constantly and universally move equally, and the thicket of faults that depend on it is eliminated like poison by a great antidote. In this way, gradually abandoning the aspects of the obscurations of knowledge to be abandoned by meditation, hundreds of immeasurable hardships, and accumulating immeasurable merits, and immeasurable
