Furthermore, as an antidote to clinging to the self as one, one should contemplate the aggregates as merely not being assembled. As an antidote to clinging to the cause, one should contemplate them as merely being elements. When holding the characteristic of having no agent, it is the elements, holding the characteristic of earth as solidity and so forth. As an antidote to clinging to the eater, one should contemplate them as merely being sense bases. By contemplating in this way, clinging to the self is averted. This is not emptiness that abandons existence and prevents non-existence, but rather emptiness that is without inherent origination. In order to recognize the delusion of clinging to what is not truly established as true, by individually examining the basis of delusion, the delusion is averted because it is not truly established. When that is reversed, one will realize the absence of inherent origination. And clinging to the self also arises from clinging to phenomena. The Precious Garland says: "As long as there is clinging to the aggregates, so long as there is clinging to self, if there is clinging to self, there is also action, from that there is also birth." Thus, one imputes to the aggregates and so forth, views form as self, and makes the remainder as belonging to self. This view of self and what belongs to self is the cause of samsara and the lower realms, so it should be abandoned. By abandoning this, one can also attain liberation and enlightenment. This is also meditating by examining with individual discernment. Among them, the Prasangika and Svatantrika both originated in India. Jowo (Atisha) advocated the Prasangika, not examining with reasoning that relies on the power of things, but rather contemplating with the wisdom of individual discernment, meditating only on the fact that nothing is established in any way, so he does not advocate negation. It is said that the intention of the teacher Nagarjuna was also like this. Therefore, in order to attain Buddhahood, one must realize the selflessness of phenomena, which is free from all elaborations. Secondly, explaining in detail the way to meditate on that, there are two aspects: establishing the meaning of selflessness to be realized through reasoning, and the way to abide equally in the continuum of the wisdom of realization. The first of these has two aspects: the actual (reasoning), and the way in which that is extensively explained in the great treatises of Madhyamaka, and condensed and shown here. The first is the actual explanation of the reasoning or valid cognition for establishing the meaning of selflessness to be realized. Putowa said: "Following the appearance of Madhyamaka, Tibet made four great valid cognitions, all valid cognitions are one and.

It includes both non-arising and dependent origination. Among them, all the reasons that prevent arising are called dependent origination. Here, the fourfold negation of arising is not mentioned. Examining from the perspective of the effect, there is the negation of arising based on existence or non-existence; examining from the perspective of the cause, there is the Vajra Splinter argument, the name of which was also given by the master Kamalaśīla. Examining both cause and effect, there is the reason of being separate from one and many. Among the two reasons as stated, the first, the negation of arising, also has two aspects in the reason of dependent origination. The first, examining from the perspective of the effect, the reason for negating arising based on existence or non-existence is: What exists, its arising is unreasonable, What does not exist is like a flower in the sky. Faults are excessive in both, Both are absent, and cannot arise. As it is said. That is to say, the previously established proposition that the aggregates and other phenomena are empty of inherent existence is not established. If one thinks that there is a knowable true entity, then, to prevent this wrong conception, if it exists, it must exist in the cause and the effect. Examining from the perspective of the effect, the aggregates and so on arise as existing, non-existing, or the nature of both. If one thinks that what exists arises, that is also unreasonable, because what exists is already established and does not need causes and conditions to produce it; if what exists arises in its own essence, then there is no time when it does not arise, and arising would also become endless. Then, does what does not exist arise? That is also unreasonable, like a flower in the sky. Even hundreds of millions of causes, Cannot transform into something real. Therefore, no matter how great the power of the cause, it cannot produce what does not exist. If what does not exist arises from a cause, then because there is no difference, it will also arise from a non-cause, and flowers in the sky and rabbit horns will also arise. Furthermore, if one thinks that in the essence of the great effect it does not exist, but in the essence of the cause it arises from both existence and non-existence, that is also unreasonable. If one examines whether it exists after arising or exists without arising, then the existence in the cause itself is not established, and because existence and non-existence are contradictory phenomena, it is unreasonable to be both. In the aspect of what exists arising, if what has already arisen arises again, then arising will become endless, and so on; in the aspect of what does not exist arising, it is like a flower in the sky.
