Go down, merge into the heart chakra (Tibetan: སྙིང་ཁའི་འཁོར་ལོ་, meaning: heart chakra). Go down, merge into the navel chakra. Below the navel chakra, connect to the central channel, as thick as an arrow shaft. Then, by suppressing the breath, the A (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal meaning: A) from the navel chakra emits flames. Go up, the flames touch the Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧྃ, Devanagari: हूँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hūṃ) at the crown chakra, from the Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧྃ, Devanagari: हूँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hūṃ) descends bodhicitta, filling the crown chakra. Similarly, go down in the three channels, filling the throat chakra. Go down, filling the heart chakra. Go down, filling the navel chakra. Again, the flames burn, like boiling milk in a copper pot, filling the navel chakra. Similarly, visualize filling the heart chakra, throat chakra, and crown chakra. Repeat the process of going down and turning upwards, and suppress the breath. Finally, do not cling to the channels, do not cling to the breath, do not cling to the bindu, rest in the natural state of Mahāmudrā (Tibetan: ཕྱག་རྒྱ་ཆེན་པོ་, meaning: Mahāmudrā). By practicing in this way, great bliss will arise. It is said that by combining this with the practice of Mahāmudrā (Tibetan: ཕྱག་རྒྱ་ཆེན་པོ་, meaning: Mahāmudrā), one will attain realization. The instructions on the burning and dripping of Tummo (Tibetan: གཏུམ་མོ་, meaning: Tummo) are complete. Instructions on the Clear Light (Tibetan: འོད་གསལ་, meaning: Clear Light) Homage to the precious Guru! The method of transforming sleep into Clear Light (Tibetan: འོད་གསལ་, meaning: Clear Light) by relying on the Dharma wheel of the heart chakra (Tibetan: སྙིང་ཁ་ཆོས་ཀྱི་འཁོར་ལོ་, meaning: Dharma wheel of the heart chakra): When sleepiness arises, place the right side of the body downwards, adopting the lion posture. Vow not to dream, to seize the Clear Light (Tibetan: འོད་གསལ་, meaning: Clear Light). Visualize the Guru appearing in the sky in front. Generate devotion and pray to the precious Guru Jetsun: 'Please bless me to enter the Clear Light (Tibetan: འོད་གསལ་, meaning: Clear Light) in my sleep!' Pray in this way three times. Then, visualize the Dharma wheel of the heart chakra (Tibetan: སྙིང་ཁ་ཆོས་ཀྱི་འཁོར་ལོ་, meaning: Dharma wheel of the heart chakra) as a four-petaled lotus, with a center and five locations. In the center is the syllable Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུཾ, Devanagari: हूँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hūṃ), on the front petal is the syllable A (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal meaning: A), on the right is the syllable Nu (Tibetan: ནུ, Devanagari: नु, Romanized Sanskrit: nu, Literal meaning: Nu), on the back is the syllable Ta (Tibetan: ཏ, Devanagari: त, Romanized Sanskrit: ta, Literal meaning: Ta), and on the left is the syllable Ra (Tibetan: ར, Devanagari: र, Romanized Sanskrit: ra, Literal meaning: Ra). First, focus the mind on the A (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal meaning: A) in front. As sleepiness increases, from the Nu (Tibetan: ནུ, Devanagari: नु, Romanized Sanskrit: nu, Literal meaning: Nu) on the right to the Ta (Tibetan: ཏ, Devanagari: त, Romanized Sanskrit: ta, Literal meaning: Ta) on the back, then to the Ra (Tibetan: ར, Devanagari: र, Romanized Sanskrit: ra, Literal meaning: Ra) on the left, and finally merge into the Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུཾ, Devanagari: हूँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hūṃ) in the center and fall asleep. If you fail to seize the Clear Light (Tibetan: འོད་གསལ་, meaning: Clear Light), you will fall into heavy sleep or have many dreams. Upon waking up, if you have not seized anything, think: 'Now I must seize it!' Then, as before, pray to the Guru, visualize the four petals of the heart chakra and the fifth location in the center, and visualize the five syllables as before. If you seize the Clear Light (Tibetan: འོད་གསལ་, meaning: Clear Light), you will see the Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུཾ, Devanagari: हूँ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hūṃ) as clearly as if you were seeing it with your eyes, or you will experience the bliss of sleep. When you wake up, you will feel refreshed or light. Or, in a state of non-thought, everything will be seen clearly and without obstruction, as if sleeping in moonlight, sunlight, or lamplight. In reality, you are practicing Mahāmudrā (Tibetan: ཕྱག་རྒྱ་ཆེན་པོ་, meaning: Mahāmudrā) in your dreams. The yogi master said that even if you transform sleep into Clear Light (Tibetan: འོད་གསལ་, meaning: Clear Light) once, you will not be lost at the time of death. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
