Therefore, as it is said, 'conditioned virtues are impermanent.' Do you truly realize the ultimate truth, or do you merely dwell on the level of conventional appearances? You need to examine your own mind. Even if you realize the ultimate truth, you should cultivate compassion for sentient beings and strive to benefit them. As Master Nagarjuna said, 'The Buddhas teach the Dharma based on two truths: the conventional truth and the ultimate truth.' Therefore, you should practice the two truths inseparably. There is no other Dharma than this. Shame and faith are crucial. If I may be allowed to tell you a universally applicable Dharma, then, because we do not have enough time now, we should completely abandon all that should be abandoned and rely on good friends who will not repeat their mistakes later. Shame and faith are crucial. Even if faith may sometimes weaken, if there is shame at that time, it will be a powerful help for you to stay inseparable from the Dharma. Because shame can also bring faith, shame is very important. Without shame, even when faith declines, one will recklessly create evil deeds. In this world, even parents do not hesitate to do things that should not be done, such as killing. Once such an evil deed is done, one feels ashamed, so that all future is ruined. Therefore, it is not enough to rely on faith alone, it is also very important to have shame. Not being a brutal butcher is the most important thing. If faith and shame are combined, then one will certainly go to the Dharma, just like applying black pigment on gold. Applying black pigment on gold that is already very good will become even better. Similarly, on the basis of doing good deeds solely through faith, because one is ashamed of the accusations of others, thinking, 'If I do bad things, how can the interests of myself and others be realized?' Thus, by restraining one's behavior, all the interests of oneself and others will be accomplished. Therefore, one must observe how much merit has arisen in one's continuum in this practice of combining faith and shame. If all appearances are regarded as real, and all suffering and happiness, self and others, wealth, attendants, etc. are clung to as truly existing, then there is no difference from ordinary black people. Therefore, it is necessary to reduce the self-grasping of contaminated aggregates. If everything one does is not aimed at the benefit of sentient beings, one will go to the Lesser Vehicle, and one will not obtain the fruit of the Arhat of the Hearers. If one knows that whatever appears is like a dream or illusion, then whatever one does, one benefits sentient beings with dreamlike illusions. This is called practicing the Great Vehicle. Without any personal desires, focus on benefiting others in a dreamlike way. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you abandon self-cherishing, it is the action of a Bodhisattva. If you do not have the realization of self-grasping, how can you benefit sentient beings? If you accomplish the benefit of beings without weariness, it is the action of a Bodhisattva. If you do not seek reward, and continuously strive for the benefit of sentient beings, spontaneously and uninterruptedly, it is the action of a perfect Buddha. Therefore, if you indulge in selfish thoughts, you will stray into being an ordinary person. If you do not aim to benefit sentient beings, you will stray into being a Shravaka or Pratyekabuddha. Therefore, mere verbal Dharma is of no benefit. As it says in the Bodhicharyavatara: 'Generating Bodhicitta is for the sake of others, desiring to attain perfect enlightenment.' Therefore, if you do not dedicate all virtuous deeds to others, it is difficult for the Dharma to become the path. If the Dharma does not become the path, you cannot attain Buddhahood. If you do not attain Buddhahood, there is no true happiness in Samsara. Therefore, for the sake of sentient beings, generate Bodhicitta and dedicate your merits. It is crucial to understand and practice such teachings. Similarly, it is important to first have faith. With shame as a Dharma friend, you need to have genuine love, compassion, and Bodhicitta for sentient beings. This Bodhicitta must truly cherish others more than oneself. At the same time, one must seek the union of emptiness and compassion. As it says in the Mahamudra Tantra: 'If you enter emptiness without compassion, you will not find the supreme path. But if you only meditate on compassion,' The meaning is that emptiness without compassion cannot sever the path, and compassion without emptiness cannot sever the path either. Therefore, you must carry emptiness with the essence of compassion, which is called emptiness with the essence of compassion. Practice emptiness and compassion simultaneously. There is no Dharma superior to this. If you wish to hear a profound Dharma, please listen. For those who have abandoned this life and seek the next, you should request the teachings of exchanging self and others from a qualified Lama and practice them. Whether it is the nine vehicles of the Nyingma school, the four classes of tantras of the New Tantras, the three pitakas of the Sutra tradition, or the three vehicles, four establishments, and nine unions of the essential teachings, all can be summarized into the two truths or the four truths. In short, like the four ways of digesting food, the three ways of using land, and the two ways of conduct, all the practices of practitioners are included in it. For food, have a virtuous mind. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
