Well explained. In "Vast Expanse of Clarity," it says: "Compile the confused tantras and explain them. Elucidate the verses of the vajra words and explain them." Thus it is said, and that is also showing twenty-nine categories of ways of explaining. In "Self-Liberation of Wisdom," it says: "With the mind like a tigress leaping, cut off the boundaries of meaning and explain. With the mind like a soaring great garuda, stir up from within the meaning and explain. With the mind like the roar of a lion, overpower the lesser vehicles with majesty and explain. With the mind like a tortoise crawling, subdue all the letters and syllables and explain. With the mind like a crow extracting teeth, discern errors and obscurations, cut away flesh and explain. With the mind like a giant's tailoring, condense the vast meaning and explain. With the mind like an elephant lying down, insert it into the eye of view and explain. With the mind like a garuda searching for prey, seek it in the target of meaning and explain. With the mind like an eagle seizing prey, explain without doubt about the meaning. With the mind like a child climbing a rock, correct even what is unsuitable and explain. With the mind like stringing pearls, manifestly arrange the instructions and explain. With the mind like a timely dragon raining, expel all the slanders of others and explain. With the mind like a water bubble marking, compare it with all the old women and explain. With the mind like a wish-fulfilling tree, explain the extremely vast and great. With the mind like the clear sky sun, pervade everything completely and explain. With the mind like the clear moon, explain samsara and nirvana. With the mind like the lion's posture, explain in accordance with the meaning of meditation. With the mind like swans walking harmoniously, stir up and combine the inner meaning and explain. With the mind like a rainbow in space, explain with the nature of reality as adornment. With the mind like a snake planting its teeth, differentiate the views and explain. With the mind like a mirror mandala, explain with both cause and condition. With the mind like lightning flashing in between, explain each word and meaning quickly. With the mind like empty space, explain vast and without limit. With the mind like a rooted root, indicate wisdom with objects and explain. With the mind like a rolled-up trunk, roll up all phenomena into meaning and explain. With the mind like separated branches, establish instructions with meaning and explain. With the mind like unfolded leaves, explain as twenty-one. With the mind like a clear mirror

. It is said to have two lamps. With the wisdom like a ripe fruit, it is said that the fruit will not revert to the cause. Such methods of explanation should be understood sequentially. Thus it is said. Second, the main practice is: both the speaker and the listener should focus on the meaning of the Dharma words, without distraction, and hold their minds single-pointedly. Thus, speaking and listening in this way completes the six perfections: setting up the Dharma teachings and offerings is generosity; guarding the three doors and listening is discipline; not harming sentient beings at this time is patience; urging the lama to teach the Dharma is diligence; listening without distraction is meditation; questioning doubts with arguments is wisdom. In the "Conduct of the Buddha, Instructions, Manifestation of Realization," it says: Offering flowers, cushions, and other offerings, restraining conduct in all places, not harming all sentient beings, supplicating the lama, holding the lama's instructions without distraction, asking questions to dispel doubts. Tara has six limbs. Thus it is said. In "Vast Expanse of Clarity," it says: Sit in the lotus position in a comfortable place, make the mudra of equipoise with both hands, look at the lama's face with both eyes, listen to the sound of the words with your ears, explain each word and meaning. Thus it is said. Incidentally, regarding the teacher's six qualities, the "Conduct of the Buddha, Manifestation of Realization" says: Speaking well is generosity, guarding against afflictions is discipline, enduring weariness is patience, diligently teaching is diligence, not being distracted is meditation, being skilled in distinguishing words and meanings is wisdom, Manjushri has six limbs. This is a summary verse. Third, there are two post-activities. The first is: afterwards, dedicate the merit to sentient beings, and remember the impermanence, the dream-like and illusory nature of the Dharma, and the kindness of the teacher. The second is: explaining the benefits of speaking and listening in this way. Thus, whoever speaks the correct Dharma will obtain the benefit of the Dharma-giving, which is the most excellent of all gifts, and will hold the treasury of the Dharma in all lifetimes, and will please the Tathagata and his retinue, and will constantly remember past lives, and will hear the Dharma from the Buddha, and will quickly attain Buddhahood, and so on, and listen
