The blazing fire burns one's own being. The darkness of ignorance obscures wisdom. Consciousness wanders on the shore of the ocean of desire. The knot of self-grasping binds tightly. Desire is like a fiery pit, falling into an abyss. Intense suffering falls like an unbearable rain. Therefore, now that we have obtained the perfect and wealthy human body, it is like a madman freed from demons, or like sobering up from intoxication with alcohol and datura, realizing that all illusory actions are meaningless. In order to accomplish the fruit of lasting happiness, these excellent teachings should be inscribed in our hearts. Those who have entered the gate of the common Great and Small Vehicles must guard these teachings without fail. If they are unknowingly lost or diminished, effort should be made to restore and purify them. On the eighth day of the lunar month, the day of fasting, the eight-limbed precepts should be perfectly guarded without fail. Study the four root vows of the Hearer's Vinaya and the six branches, and strive for the twelve qualities of asceticism. According to the teachings of the Solitary Realizer, the twelve links of dependent origination arise and cease according to the law, abiding in unwavering concentration, self-arising without dependence. From the Bodhisattva's precepts, through the two gates of aspiration and practice of cherishing others, train in the four immeasurables, and being perfectly endowed with the two hundred and fifty-three precepts, if body, speech, and mind are in accordance with the precepts, it is believed that one can be liberated from all suffering. Entering the gate of the Secret Mantra Vehicle, there are outer and inner aspects. First, in the outer aspect, there are three tantras of the Shravakas. Action Tantra), the nature of the Action Tantra, is to understand the phenomena of the aggregates, elements, and sources that appear in the illusory realm of conventional truth as defilements to be purified, and to regard the nature of mind, which is pure by nature, as the object to be purified. By purifying the path and meditating on the deity, one views oneself and the deity as lord and servant, desiring accomplishment. Performance Tantra), the nature of the Performance Tantra, is to practice the view like Yoga Tantra and the conduct like Kriya Tantra, meditating on oneself as the wisdom being of the deity in front of the samaya being, like a brother or friend, thereby desiring accomplishment. Yoga Tantra), the nature of the Yoga Tantra, is to regard all phenomena of existence and non-existence
