Generating renunciation by contemplating the impermanence of the temporary: As stated in the Wish-Fulfilling Treasury, "The changes of the four seasons and ages, both internal and external, abandon the clinging to permanence with the certainty of impermanence and death." Thus, generating renunciation by contemplating the impermanence of the appearances of the outer environment and inner beings. In this Jambudvipa (Earth) also, there are changes in the four times of the complete age, the two-part age, the three-part age, and finally the age of strife. In one lifetime, there are also changes in the four times of being born as a young child, being a young child, reaching adulthood, and growing old and decrepit. In one year, there are also changes in the four times of spring sowing, summer growth of leaves and moisture, autumn ripening of fruits, and winter drying and freezing of the earth, so it is impermanent. As stated in the Tale of Impermanence, "When autumn, represented by the cool moon, arrives, all beings are very happy, but do not think that life will be exhausted and feel unhappy." And as stated in the Extensive Play Sutra, "The three realms are impermanent like autumn clouds, the birth and death of beings is like watching a dance." And as stated in the Sutra Requested by King Udayana, "These are not truths like illusions, conditioned things are like dreams, so rely on them. Always strive diligently for the perfections, grounds, powers, and the limbs of enlightenment, the Dharma of the Victorious Ones." Thus, contemplate. Generating renunciation of impermanence by contemplating the subtle momentary changes: It is said, as stated in the Wish-Fulfilling Treasury, "Form is composed of many momentary particles, impermanent like lightning in the sky, so quickly practice the supreme Dharma." The coarse appearance should not be regarded as true, because particles exist as indivisible particles, so the coarse is not established. Do not place clinging minds on external objects. The body is also composed of dust, without parts, and the mind is also momentary, without parts, so do not cut off the precious box of cherishing the body and mind that are taken close. Do not attach the clinging of truth to the illusory appearances of intermediate enjoyment. Do not harbor the confidence of bad habits in the various illusions of samsara. Because nothing has essence, one should generate strong renunciation of impermanence. As stated in the Extensive Play Sutra:
