This arises from that. First, establishing the foundation on the three immovables means to remain still from the three postures at all times. That is, when the body is still, the pulse is still; when the pulse is still, the eyes are still; when the eyes are still, the wind is still; when the wind is still, the mind is still. This is necessary to stop the movement and abide in awareness. By not moving the three ways of looking with the eyes, the mind is made still. That is, the key point of awareness is the pulse, the key point of the pulse is the door, and the key point of the door is the lamp. That is, when the pulse is still, the eyes are still; when the eyes are still, the lamp is still. Thus, when the mind is still, no thoughts arise. That is, the root of all thoughts comes from the heart, and the root of the heart is fixed on the eyes, so all the key points are in the eyes, therefore it is important that the eyes are still. This is the necessity of awareness and dharmadhatu being inseparable. Measuring the three abidings is as follows: By abiding in dharmadhatu awareness for a long time, three measures of the teachings will arise: When the wind that moves external appearances is exhausted, dharmadhatu awareness will abide without coming and going; when the wind that moves the internal aggregates is exhausted, the body will abide without moving; when the wind that moves the secret is exhausted, it is impossible for thoughts to move in the mind. At this time, two kinds of measurement will occur: measuring by dreams and the signs appearing in body, speech, and mind. In the Adasjé (འདས་རྗེས་): "The measure is the three abidings, the signs appear in body, speech, and mind." In the Thalgyur (ཐལ་འགྱུར་): "The best knows the measure, the middling knows the knowledge, the worst transforms into good." Therefore, for the best diligence, dreams will dissolve into dharmadhatu; for the middling, clear light will appear. For the worst, they will know that dreams are dreams and dreams will turn into good. The signs appearing in body, speech, and mind are that each of the four appearances will have three signs, so twelve signs will appear. Among them, first, when directly seeing the nature of reality, three signs will appear, like a turtle placed in a castle model. For example, just as the castle model is smooth and the turtle's feet do not know how to move, the body will become motionless, free from doing and acting. Speech will become like a mute, for example, just as a mute cannot speak, speech does not want to speak, so the pairs of words are exhausted. The mind will become like a dakini caught in a net,

For example, like a bird caught in a net, wanting to fly but unable to, the mind is restless but can only stay put helplessly. Second, in the stage of increasing realization, three signs appear in body, speech, and mind: The body becomes like a person struck by illness, devoid of bodily adornments and outward appearances, and becomes shameless. Speech becomes like the rambling of a madman, uttering nonsensical and unrelated words. The mind becomes like a person poisoned, certain to die after the seventh dose, and from then on, there is no turning back in the three realms. Third, when wisdom reaches its peak, three signs of realization appear: The body becomes like an elephant stuck in the mud. For example, even though an elephant is stuck in the mud, it can emerge in an instant due to its great strength. The body can fly in the sky, enter the ground, not drown in water, not be burned by fire, not be moved by the wind, and so on, possessing the power of miracles. Speech becomes like the young of a lark emerging from a rock crevice. For example, the melodious voice of a lark captivates others. Whatever the yogi speaks is listened to by others and benefits sentient beings. The mind becomes like a person cured of smallpox. For example, once smallpox is cured, it does not recur. Ignorance is awakened, and there is confidence that one will not regress in the three realms. Fourth, in the experience of the exhaustion of Dharma nature, three signs appear: The body becomes like a corpse in a charnel ground, unharmed even when surrounded by hundreds of executioners wielding weapons. Speech becomes like an echo in a valley, the content of words exhausted, only repeating what others say. The mind becomes like a mist in space, disappearing in an instant, no longer manifesting the accumulation of karmic imprints, thereby attaining Buddhahood. Furthermore, the body is composed of the four elements, and once bound by them, it is impossible to return to the nature of the four elements. The four aspects of speech—the subject of expression, the mode of expression, the conditions of expression, and the content of expression—are liberated from bondage, and the subject of expression can no longer be expressed in its own way. The basis of mind is non-thought, non-arising, beyond consciousness, and after being liberated from bondage, the wheel of memory and consciousness can no longer turn. Incidentally obtained.
