Oh! The essence of the land is the unborn goodness of the Dharmadhatu. The essence of the place is to rely on the secluded forest. The essence of the monastery is to behold the clear emptiness of Dharma. The essence of the house is to rest in the innate nature of mind. Thus, he spoke many pith instructions that encapsulated the essence. Again, he said: The essence of view is to behold the unchanging clear emptiness. The essence of meditation is to behold the mind as it is. The essence of conduct is to destroy the delusion of dualistic grasping. The essence of the result is the spontaneous accomplishment of the fundamental potential. If you do so, you will be happy in this life and joyful in the next. You will quickly attain perfect Buddhahood. Having said this, the king rejoiced and made many prostrations and circumambulations. Then, the silk robe of the goddess, along with the instructions, was placed in a dark sandalwood box and hidden as a treasure. He made aspirations to meet the goddess herself. Then, the master wrote the syllable HRIH (藏文:ནྲྀ,梵文天城体:ह्रीः,梵文罗马拟音:hrīḥ,汉语字面意思:Great compassion) in red wisdom-essence on the heart of the goddess's corpse, and summoned back her consciousness. As a result, she breathed and was able to speak. Then, he bestowed the empowerment of the Dakini Heart Essence, and gave her the secret name Padma Laysel (Lotus Karmic Connection). The girl held the book box on her head, and made the aspiration that in the future, she would encounter this Dharma and benefit sentient beings. Then, the master awakened the goddess's past life karma, and she met with the father, son, and master. Having said this, he again demonstrated the manner of the consciousness departing and cremated the corpse in that very place. In order to purify the girl's obscurations, the master's consciousness instantly went to Oddiyana (now the Swat Valley in Pakistan) and performed a Tsokhorlo (feast gathering). Again, he returned in an instant and said: "Record how Tsogyal (Yeshe Tsogyal) came to be in the catalog. By hiding it in the box of the profound treasure, there will be a need for faith when you meet her yourself later." Having said this, Jomo (Yeshe Tsogyal) wrote it down. She asked, "Should these secret Heart Essence instructions be propagated or hidden?" The master said: "Now is not the time to propagate these, so they must be hidden as a treasure. The goddess held the book box on her head and made aspirations, so it is her Dharma portion. Now, in a few years, the great master Vimalamitra will come, and the time for his disciples to be tamed will have arrived, and the teachings of the Heart Essence will flourish. This teaching of my Dakini Heart Essence,

When the Nyingma tradition declines and approaches its end, the teachings will become clearer and more powerful in their decline, like a lamp shining brightly before it goes out. It was widely prophesied and concealed as treasure for the benefit of future generations. As predicted by the great master Padmasambhava, the consort of Padmasambhava, Pema Sel, gradually reincarnated. In an era when people's lifespans generally do not exceed forty-odd years, and reaching fifty is considered long life, he was born in a region east of the snowy mountains, like a burning iron serpent, as a person named Spa Gangba Rinchen Dorje. In the year of the Ox, he invited the profound treasures from Dakpo and Lung Tramo Drak, but he did not practice them at that time and wandered around, incurring the wrath of the dakinis, and passed away without reaching the end of his natural lifespan. As it is said in the 'Golden Rosary of Questions and Answers': 'After that life, he briefly sojourned in the Sambhogakaya realm.' Its meaning is that, for yogis who meditate on the five wisdom lights of the spontaneously present, clear light mandala, he resides in the Akanishta heaven of the path vision. Then, in a place called Yuru Drayi Putö Drong, he was born as the son of the father, Abbot Tenpa Sungwa, and the mother, Dromza Sonam Gyen. By the age of seven, he had learned to read and write. By studying the 'Collected Works of the Sugatas' and 'Vajrakilaya,' as well as the Guru's practice manuals and activity rituals, he became proficient by the age of ten, and also studied astrology and tormas. At the age of thirteen, he was ordained as a monk and studied the pure Vinaya in the presence of Abbot Samdrub Rinchen. He listened to the 'Vinaya Sutra,' the 'Pratimoksha Sutra,' and the 'Light Sutra,' among others. From then on, he studied the treatises on characteristics and the 'Introduction to the Middle Way.' In addition, he heard from many teachers the tantras, instructions, Lamdre, Six Yogas, Pacification, Chöd, Mahamudra, Dzogchen, Mind Class, Jowo's Dharma cycles, Kadampa teachings, and other common practice sections. Through hearing, contemplation, and meditation, he became proficient in his heart and attained omniscience. In particular, in the presence of the venerable Lama Kumaraja, he heard many empowerments, instructions, tantras, transmissions, and pith instructions of the Great Perfection Heart Essence, as well as many minor Guru treasure teachings, and put them into practice.

Then, in the winter of the Wood Rabbit year (referring to 1279), while practicing on the mountain of Chimphu (mChims phu), at the place of Rimochen (ri mo can), when bestowing the empowerment and guidance of the Secret Essence Heart-drop to a hundred fortunate men and women, suddenly, many dakinis and protectors descended, urging to open the Dharma gate of the Dakini Essence Heart-drop. Thereupon, the yogi Odzer Gocha ('Od zer go cha) was sent to fetch the scriptures, and when he returned, countless dakinis gathered there, all the yogis saw it, and at night, the self-sound of the dakinis "di ri ri ri" was heard from all directions, and many musical instruments were also heard. All the male and female yogis, some fell asleep without dreaming, and some did not fall asleep but remained awake. For a month, they remained day and night in the wisdom of bliss and clarity, non-conceptual. At the time of introduction, everyone saw the vast light of deep blue and the light of the five wisdoms. During the guidance and all the subsequent practices, the sky was filled with rainbows for a month. Furthermore, when composing the great commentary on the Essence Heart-drop, known as the Dakini Yangtik (mkha' 'gro yang thig), many wondrous signs appeared. Through the empowerment, guidance, and instructions of the Essence Heart-drop, beings were placed on the path to liberation and the state of omniscience, in great numbers. Such instructions arising from the lineage are guided in a special way. Second, the actual guidance on the profound path of meditation is divided into: the path of Trekchö, which reveals the nature of original purity as freedom from elaboration, and the path of Tögal, which directly reveals the wisdom of spontaneous accomplishment. The first includes: establishing the nature, and recognizing the face of awareness itself. The first is further divided into three: In the essential guidance on liberation from bondage, first cut off conceptual thought, then look for the flaws of the mind, then examine the place of origin, dwelling, and destination. Thus it is said. First, in a secluded place, the body should possess the seven characteristics of Vairochana, that is: legs in the vajra posture, hands in the samadhi mudra below the navel, arms extended like the wings of a garuda, spine straight as an arrow, eyes cast down at the tip of the nose, tongue touching the palate, neck slightly bent, body without leaning forward, backward, or swaying, like an arrow placed in a temple. The senses remain in their natural state.
