May it be fruitful by using the ground. As it is said in "Entering the Bodhisattva's Way of Life": "Therefore, the Bhagavan said, like a blind turtle whose neck fits into the hole of a yoke floating in the vast ocean, it is extremely difficult to obtain a human body." From where is it said? From the "Garland of Flowers Sutra": "It is difficult for the Buddhas, the Bhagavats, to appear in the world. It is also extremely difficult to be born as a human and to achieve leisure and perfection. Therefore, let me give an example: Shariputra, suppose this great earth becomes a single ocean, and in it there is a single yoke-hole, and there is also a blind turtle. That great ocean rises and falls with the wind, and that blind turtle emerges once every hundred years. It is said that the neck of the blind turtle, emerging every hundred years, might fit into that single yoke-hole. Returning again from a wrong path is not like that. Therefore, it is extremely difficult for those who have fallen into wrong paths to become human." It is also said in "The Treasury of Wish-Fulfilling Jewels": "Though a blind turtle's neck may fit into a yoke-hole floating in the middle of the ocean, it is difficult to be reborn as a human from the lower realms. It is as likely as beans sticking to a smooth wall. Even if one is born as a human, it is rare to be born in a central land." Thus, from cycle to cycle in samsara, obtaining a human body is more difficult than beans sticking to a smooth wall. As it is said in "Essence of the Moon": "Turning away from the eight unfree states and becoming human is more difficult than beans sticking to a smooth wall." So it is said. Similarly, just as it is impossible to thread a cloth through the eye of a needle, just as it is difficult for the udumbara flower to appear in the world, and just as it is difficult to find a wish-fulfilling jewel, it is also extremely difficult to find a human body endowed with leisure and fortune, suitable for Dharma practice. Among sentient beings, the beings of the three lower realms are extremely numerous, endless like the dust of the great earth. The beings of the higher realms are very few, said to be like the dust on a fingernail. Among the three lower realms, the fewest are animals, and they mainly live in the great ocean, in inconceivable numbers. Those scattered are also all over the earth, mountains, rivers, and sky.

Everything is filled. The beings of gods and humans, compared to this, are like the end of existence. Even so, in general, the number of human beings is small. Especially the people of Jambudvipa are few. Even more particularly, having a faithful human body is like the end of existence. The reason for being so few is that among sentient beings, those who commit evil deeds are very many, without limit. Those who do good are few in any case. Among these, those who can be reborn as a human and keep the precepts are very rare. Regarding this, the "Wish-Fulfilling Treasure" says: Seeing just the body of sentient beings like this, obtaining a human body is like obtaining the position of a Chakravartin. Among human bodies, the lineage of Dharma with faith is even rarer than that, like attaining Buddhahood. Therefore, one should always contemplate leisure and endowment. So it is said. If one thinks about the general characteristics of sentient beings, it is like the expanse of the sky. The sentient beings of Jambudvipa are like a part of the sky in the eye of a needle. Leaving aside the other people of Jambudvipa, compared to the creatures living in a forest, a river, or a puddle, obtaining a human body is like obtaining the amount of a Chakravartin king. If one thinks of humans, although there are many people gathered in each market town in India, China, South, North, Mon, Nepal, Mongolia, Sog, etc., those who have entered the Buddha's teachings and follow them with faith, I think, are even rarer than the Buddha's coming into the world. Bring joy to yourself and do not waste leisure and endowment. The Intermediate Mother Prajnaparamita says: It is already difficult to become a human, what to say of having complete leisure and endowment? So it is said. In the liberation of the Brahma King Heat's birthplace, it says: It is difficult to turn away from the eight unfree states. It is also difficult to obtain a human body itself. It is also difficult to have pure leisure and endowment. It is also difficult for a Buddha to appear. It is also difficult to have complete faculties. It is also difficult to hear the Buddha's teachings. It is also difficult to associate with noble people. It is also difficult to meet true virtuous friends. So it is said. Now that we have obtained a complete and precious leisure and endowment, met a qualified virtuous friend, and are able to practice the supreme Dharma, at this time, no matter what
