Furthermore, among the six types of gods, the Four Great Kings reside on the four terraces of Mount Sumeru, born through transformation and enjoying spontaneously arising sensual pleasures. The Thirty-three Gods are located on the summit of Mount Sumeru, where there are magnificent palaces, beautiful like cities, and the immeasurable palaces of the gods arise naturally from the power of merit. The land is also made of jewels, and there are four gardens: the eastern Chariot Garden, the southern Harsh Garden, the western Mixed Garden, and the northern Joyful Garden, as well as wish-fulfilling trees and nectar springs, etc., where sensual pleasures are obtained merely by thinking of them. Indra and the thirty-two close attendants, together with the sons and daughters of the gods, dwell in happiness and joy for a thousand years, which is also due to the perfection of past virtuous deeds. These are the joys and wealth of the gods and humans who dwell on the earth. Above these, the four types of desire realm gods who have accumulated even greater merit, in the place adorned with wish-fulfilling trees and mind-transformations, are born through transformation on lotuses, as boys and girls. Because they are free from strife with the asuras, they are also called the Non-contending Gods. Because the male and female are born together, they are also called the Twin Gods. They accomplish sensual pleasures merely by thinking of them, and this also comes from accumulating merit. Above that, in the place adorned with wish-fulfilling beautiful eyes, there is the Good Dharma Hall of the Joyful Gods, where Maitreya Bodhisattva resides as the regent, and the sound of Dharma and sensual pleasures arise naturally, it is the Joyful Place with vast accumulations of merit. Above that, in the pure land adorned with wish-fulfilling beautiful sights, the gods of the Enjoying Emanation delight in emanated enjoyments through their minds, and both themselves and others enjoy the glory of happiness and bliss. Above that, in the pure land adorned with wish-fulfilling jewels, the gods of the Controlling Emanation of Others enjoy the qualities of sensual pleasures and happiness, which are the supreme of other gods. The sensual pleasures of these desire realm gods are obtained through accumulating the three levels of great, medium, and small of the ten virtues, and are the blissful results of humans and gods in the desire realm. The two types of gods who accumulate vast accumulations of merit from the ten virtues and are associated with meditative concentration, begin from the abodes of the form realm.

There are seventeen places. That is, the first dhyana has three places: in the sky of precious lotus color, dwell the Brahma assembly gods; above it, in the sky of Samika, dwell the Brahma assistant gods; above it, in the sky of Keruza, dwell the Great Brahma gods. These three places are the first dhyana, abandoning the craving for the enjoyment of sensual pleasures, and dwelling single-mindedly in meditation. The second dhyana is: in the sky of precious radiant light, dwell the gods of limited light; above it, in the sky adorned with Kekeru, dwell the gods of immeasurable light; above it, in the sky of Sri Kutra, dwell the gods of radiant light. These three places are the second dhyana, they constantly dwell in the joy and happiness experienced by the immovable samadhi. The third dhyana is: in the sky of precious lotus color, dwell the gods of limited virtue; above it, in the sky of Indra Nila, dwell the gods of immeasurable virtue; above it, in the sky of precious light-emitting, dwell the gods of universal virtue. These three places are the third dhyana, they dwell in the state of experiencing clear bliss without conceptualization, without even perceiving breathing. The fourth dhyana is: in the sky of precious thick clouds, dwell the gods of no clouds; above it, in the sky adorned with Kalika, dwell the gods of blessed birth; above it, in the sky of extremely beautiful, dwell the gods of great fruit. These three places are the fourth dhyana, this fourth dhyana is considered to be the correct dhyana in accordance with the scriptures. Above it, are the five pure abodes, which are the places where diligent meditators reside: in the sky of overlapping precious crystal palaces, dwell the gods of no affliction; above it, in the sky of precious auspicious grass pens, dwell the gods of no heat; above it, in the sky of beautiful virtue, dwell the gods of good appearance; above it, in the sky adorned with precious blue lotus, dwell the gods of extreme purity; above it, in the sky adorned with precious grids, dwell the gods of Akanistha, also known as the abode of spontaneously accomplished noble beings of meditation. These seventeen form realm places are all the result of immovable samadhi and immeasurable merits, and also the result of abandoning evil and practicing virtue. Above it, are the four formless realms: in the sky of great clouds pervading, dwell the realm of infinite space, abiding in samadhi for twenty thousand great kalpas; above it, is the
