Discarding old clothes and putting on new ones, climbing upwards, flying in the sky, going to the island of flowers, and so on. The fifth common point is to explain the benefits of liberation: Oh, now you must also quickly deliver all sentient beings from the great ocean of suffering in samsara, and place them on the state of complete enlightenment of the All-Knowing Buddha. For this purpose, listen carefully without distraction, with the intention of entering the profound category of the sacred Dharma. So, with what kind of conduct should one listen? As it is said in the 'Wish-Fulfilling Jewel Treasury': When listening in a good manner, having the thought of jewels and other six precious things, enduring afflictions and other six ascetic practices, having much learning and diligence and other six unchanging causes, generating compassion and other six things to be done, knowing the differences and other six necessities, seeking the Dharma and other six kinds of seeking, listen with thirty-six qualities. As it is said. The Lama who speaks the Dharma should be regarded as a treasure of jewels; the Dharma should be regarded as a wish-fulfilling jewel; listening to the Dharma should be regarded as extremely rare; holding and contemplating the Dharma should be regarded as having precious meaning; separately understanding the Dharma should be regarded as not being found in hundreds of thousands of kalpas; those who abandon seeking the Dharma should be regarded as abandoning nectar and taking poison; those who listen and contemplate should rely on the desire to make it meaningful. The six kinds of enduring hardships that are shown are: towards the virtuous friend and the Dharma, enduring the afflictions of heat and cold; enduring the afflictions of hunger and thirst; enduring the afflictions of evil words and harsh words; enduring the afflictions of fatigue and running; enduring the afflictions of giving away possessions and seeking possessions; even for the cherished life, it is important to endure even at the cost of sacrifice. The armor of the six unchanging things is: for teaching the Dharma and diligently practicing the Dharma, even a short spear cannot stop it, one must strive to do it. One must hold much learning, know the meaning of the Dharma, have the virtue of practicing accordingly, and also rely on such a person, and respectfully serve such a person.

The distinctions of what should be done: One should know how to accomplish all virtuous roots, and having known, accomplish them properly. One should generate great compassion for sentient beings, uphold the sacred Dharma, not cut off the lineage of the Three Jewels, and ripen all sentient beings. One should possess such a purpose. Accomplishing the six necessities: The necessity of knowing the distinctions of the Dharma after hearing, the necessity of not doing what should not be done after knowing, the necessity of teaching others in the same way, the necessity of oneself and others attaining liberation by teaching in this way, the necessity of training the wisdom of oneself and others, and the necessity of cutting off the doubts of those who come from the four directions. Therefore, one should strive to listen with these six. The six seekings are: Seeking the Dharma from the depths of one's heart without deceit or trickery; seeking not for oneself, but for the benefit of all beings; seeking not desiring gain and respect, but desiring to abandon the afflictions of beings; seeking by entering with wisdom without partiality; seeking without doubt, in order to cut off the doubts of all beings; and seeking without arrogance and desire, but in order to perfect the Buddha's teachings. One should seek with such a seeking. As it is said, listen well with the thirty-six qualities. Among the categories of Dharma to be listened to, Thinking about the benefits of liberation and training the mind: From beginningless samsara until now, it is impossible that we have not accumulated non-virtue and suffering, and have not taken various forms of lower realms. Therefore, we have only been exhausting the karma of suffering. Thinking about such meaningless actions, with strong renunciation, we should only focus on the benefits of striving to practice the work of liberation and enlightenment. In the Wish-Fulfilling Jewel Treasury, it says: From such meaningless samsara, the direction of liberation is nirvana, the unsurpassed nectar of peace and coolness. As it is said, generate strong renunciation towards samsara, because samsara is full of faults and difficult to cross like a pit of fire. Nirvana is peaceful and cool.
