One should strive to act accordingly. Likewise, in the vows of the families, one should not be separated from the three mandalas. I am the great lord of the supreme family, abiding in the indestructible vajra vow. For the sake of all sentient beings, may my vows be completely pure. These are also the individual vows of the five families: In the vow of Akshobhya, the essence is emptiness and compassion. The nature is skillful means and wisdom, holding the mudra of the bell and vajra of appearance and emptiness as a symbol of non-duality, and one should never abandon the great conduct of a Bodhisattva. In the vow of Ratnasambhava, there are the giving of Dharma, the giving of fearlessness, the giving of material things, and the giving of love. One should always give these four kinds of giving. In the vow of Amitabha, one should explain the teachings of the three vehicles. As it is said in the Compendium of Sutras and the Gathering of Intentions: "The source of arising, the guide, and the ascetic family, and the vehicle of the means of empowerment." Therefore, the vehicle of the guide of the source of arising is the Hearers, Solitary Realizers, and Bodhisattvas. The vehicle of the ascetic family is the outer tantras of Kriya, Upa, and Yoga. The vehicle of the means of empowerment is the inner tantras of Maha, Anu, and Ati, which should be explained appropriately according to the minds of those to be tamed. In the vow of Amoghasiddhi, one should first accomplish one's own benefit, and then, with a good altruistic intention that is not motivated by desire for food, seeking wealth, or pursuing worldly gains, one should strive tirelessly to benefit beings through teachings, transmissions, empowerments, guidance, retreats, transference of consciousness, and oral instructions, even down to refuge vows. In the vow of Vairochana, the body is the mandala of the deity, speech is the mandala of mantra, and mind is the mandala of samadhi. One should never be separated from these three. Not transgressing and abiding in these individual vows of the five families is the most supreme of all families. Abiding in the great protection of no protection, the primordial protection of the vajra vow, for the sake of all sentient beings, the complete purity of vows is accomplished as wished. The fourth general topic is showing the nature of samsara as suffering: Oh, for the sake of all sentient beings equal to space, may I attain the precious state of liberation and unsurpassable, perfect, complete enlightenment. For that purpose, one should listen properly and practice the stages of the profound, secret, and unsurpassable guidance.

Thinking of elevating myself, I generate the supreme Bodhicitta, please listen. This is also from the "Wish-Fulfilling Treasure Trove": Then, the Dharma conduct of listening, speaking, and learning is: Abandon all faults and listen with respect. As it is said, when listening to the Dharma, one should abandon the three faults of the vessel, the six stains, and the thirty-six faults. That is, just as essence cannot enter a vessel turned upside down, one does not pay attention to the Dharma; just as essence leaks out when the bottom is broken, one forgets the Dharma because one has heard it but has not familiarized oneself with it through mindfulness; just as essence with poison is not comfortable for anyone who uses it, one is controlled by afflictions and becomes satiated by hearing again, so one should abandon it. From the "Intermediate Mother Sutra": Listen well and keep it in mind, and I will tell you. As it is said, listen well without afflictions, listen thoroughly without turning the vessel upside down, and keep it in mind without breaking the bottom, this is the instruction. The six stains are: arrogance, lack of faith, lack of seeking, external distraction, internal drowsiness and sleep, and unwillingness to listen. The thirty-six faults are: explained in six groups of six. The six actions of demons are: laziness, idleness, lack of faith in the Dharma and the Guru, not serving the Guru, not keeping the teachings in mind, and despising the ripening of karma. The six actions of obscuration are: great arrogance, abandoning the Dharma, listening to the teachings of outsiders, not listening to the Bodhisattva Pitaka, having wrong views about virtuous friends, and having wrong views about the Dharma. The six causes of abandoning the Dharma are: pretending with body and mind, disrespecting the Guru with arrogance, disrespecting the Dharma with doubt, living wrongly with pretense, disrespecting parents, Khenpo, and Acharya, and always arguing discordantly due to a rough body and mind. The six faults of distraction from the Dharma are: many worldly activities, many trivial gains, many joking words, many friendships with evil friends, many thoughts of wrong ideas, and many illnesses and demonic possessions due to the power of bad karma. The six faults of perversion are: not appreciating kindness and being deceitful,
